Second Life: 10 instagrams of Russian vintage stores

We have long ceased to perceive instagram solely as a way to stay in touch with friends. Today, the application has replaced many online stores and has become a convenient platform for young brands and showrooms that do not have their own website. Vintage projects in the social network are multiplying exponentially: photos of unique things that are instantly bought up, it is more logical to upload in real time, rather than upload to the site. We chose ten Russian vintage stores, working just through instagram.

Strogo Vintage

One of the pioneers in the world of Instagram shopping, the Strogo Vintage project appeared a couple of years ago and managed to acquire its own showroom on Pokrovka, and its founders, Marina Chuykina and Tanya Lyager, launched the first (and so far the only) regular vintage market in the city. Today events take place literally every month and occupy more and more interesting and spacious areas - from the last three-storey Ryabushinsky mansion, where more than thirty vintage projects from all over Russia fit. In the instagram Strogo Vintage - sheepskin coats and voluminous knitwear, thin silk dresses, oversized trench coats, shoes of amazing preservation and dozens of tips, how and with what to combine your favorite thing.

Total Vintage

The founders of Total Vintage are clearly nostalgic for the '90s and are collecting monochrome suits, cashmere sweaters, loose coats, old school denim and dresses with intricate details. Many designer items, mostly popular in the 90s are Ralph Lauren, Hugo Boss, Calvin Klein and Giorgio Armani. Fans of power dressing and basic things will like this balance of power.

Avoska Vintage

Actual vintage - this is how the Avoska Vintage project founders characterize the selection of things. It’s hard to argue with them: despite the impressive age, jackets and trousers, dresses and accessories look modern, and some of them actually turn out to be completely new. In Avoska there is also a serious trouser suit with massive shoulders, and a corduroy sheath dress with an emphasis on the neckline. Things are added to the account not so often, but there are regularly appearing nice pictures of architecture, interiors and nature.

Cream Moscow

Instagram with beautiful footage and vintage finds from all over the world belongs to the co-founder of Vintage Marketplace Marketplace Tanya Lager. Fluffy fur coats with long fur appear regularly in your account, almost new shoes with a steady heel, swimsuits, leather leather jackets, colorful trench coats and midi dresses that you urgently want to take home. Like Strogo Vintage, the showroom of Cream Moscow settled on Pokrovka in Moscow.

Old touch

Another project that celebrates fashion at the junction of the 90s and zero: leather jackets, silk shawls, pointy boots and leather pants - with the Old Touch prompts you can get together on a rave or learn how to wear a good half of my mother's wardrobe. Instagram is updated infrequently, but Old Touch can be found on Moscow vintage markets.

Fefela Vintage

The classic set of hits of the 90s and zero - polo and wide trousers, jackets with an underlined line of shoulders and sweaters made of fluffy angora - is interspersed with rare finds. Dior saddle bag, satin pink dress-cake with sleeves-puffs, vintage combination with delicate lace - in Fefela Vintage come across things by which you can study the history of the modern suit. Here we also recommend looking for clues on how to wear light-colored jackets (hint: tucking into pants) and the newly popular cropped cardigans.

Coffre vintage

The main specialization of an instagram account is elegant vintage jewelry. There are massive twisted earrings, necklace with raw pearls, gilded bracelets and brooches. With modest prices (slightly above the average mass market), Coffre Vintage jewelery stands out for two reasons: firstly, the vintage jewelry is unique and the chances of meeting someone in the same earrings are minimal; secondly, modern materials are fairly inferior to vintage ones in strength and durability.

More is More

Petersburg vintage store, which is equally successful and beautiful shooting with cinematic look, and the search for real treasures. Silk blouses with bows, suede suits, shells bags, embroidered with glass beads, flower dresses, classic trench coats and feather tops — the founders of More is More do not stop at one decade and in every way justify the name of the account.

Ka.Mode

In Ka.Mode you should look for everyday things or ideas on how to go to the office (provided you have a non-strict dress code) in your favorite vintage skirt - all the items in your account are in a good way simple. If purchases from the mass market are increasingly making you think about overproduction and difficult working conditions at garment factories, then things of the 70s, 80s and 90s can be an excellent alternative to them - the styles have not changed so much since the quality of the vintage proves his age.

Mix and match Vintage

Katya Borisova's vintage design, which is looking for beautiful dresses all over the world (but mostly in Europe). All of them are sent in for repair before selling, so they look absolutely new on the rails in the showroom, despite their venerable age (the favorite decades in Mix and match Vintage are the 70s and 80s). In addition to dresses, Katya has a love for haori (Japanese jackets with straight sleeves with wide sleeves, which are usually worn over kimono) - an excellent replacement for the usual trench coats. For winter, fur coats of artificial and natural fur and laconic coats are brought to Mix and match Vintage.
