Fashion designer Annie Alava about favorite outfits

Today, our heroine Enni Alava - a fashion designer from Helsinki and the creator of the brand Jenni Alava - spoke about the findings in the collections of Finnish designers, love for glitter and things with leopard print.
Every thing I buy individually, separately from my wardrobe. I never think in advance what and how the thing will look. Moreover, I like to combine in advance incompatible things - this is such a challenge to my own eyes. Moreover, in the end, all things always merge with each other into something whole. I rarely repeat and wear the same image twice - always adding or replacing some detail. I think that I work not for food, but for shoes — almost all the money I earn, I spend on replenishing my collection of shoes and bags.

I like animals and prints on clothes. So these jeans with dogs and bunny ears sneakers got into my wardrobe. I wear this cotton COS jacket all the time - it makes my spring look a little too much. This shirt is from my SS12 collection. She is sleeveless, with a contrasting collar and almost all the buttons are hidden. Those buttons, which are visible, adorn the anchors (when I did it, I thought of coastal lighthouses). I think this shirt is very successful.

This image is one of my favorites. T-shirt I found at the flea market in Helsinki. The denim dress is very comfortable and I feel comfortable in it. I also like it when children look at my things and find them entertaining and fun.

I bought this ASOS floral print jacket from a colleague for two lunches. Shoes and skirt - Finnish designer Minna Parikka, her clothes are Paloma Faith and Beth Ditto. I worked on freelancing with Minna Parikka for two years, then I became infected with love for her things. I like this pair of shoes for the platform, which is made of wood and clear acrylic. I gave myself a funny Daniel Palillo T-shirt when I got Pick's dog. Pico fits easily into a zippered front pocket that looks like a huge mouth. In general, most of the things in my wardrobe are somehow related to events in life.

This outfit is created for parties on vacation. Mike I made myself from my dad's old t-shirt, O'boy was my favorite drink in childhood. I also made my skirt myself ten minutes before going to the party. The bezel is a gift from my friend who he found in the Canary Islands. These fuchsia shoes are the first to be made by designer Minna Parikka. I love how the acid colors blend here. Fuchsia and red - a harsh mix.

This is the outfit in which I celebrated my 30th birthday. She sewed the dress herself, and found silver shoes again with Minna Parikka. That day I wanted to feel like a super-duo. And I did it!

At the New Year's party, I made myself a festive T-shirt with a pike from an ordinary men's T-shirt, sticking pearls on it. Jeans are classic Levi's 501. I practically don’t wear jewelry - accessories bother me and are uncomfortable with them. Instead, I like the details on the clothes. The umbrella is my nightmare.

Another image from my birthday, this time - from the 29th anniversary. This silk dress is transparent, so I wear it with denim shorts. I wear Kitten Hills of blue suede when I want to feel like an adult. They have a low heel, only 6 cm, and usually I wear a heel or 1 cm, or 12 cm.

The white denim acne jacket reminds me of the 90s. Tights with gnomes brought a colleague from Hong Kong as a gift. I like to wear a little black dress with sneakers, in this case with adidas with a leopard print.

I love shirts, and this blue pin-up girls print is my favorite! I found her in the men's section of the My o My concept store in Helsinki. I love these Minna Parikka shoes: glitter, sparkles, sequins, and everything brilliant is great. A bag in the form of a heart is very difficult to combine, it does not fit anything. But the paradox: when I put it on, it looks great.

This cropped top in the "goose foot" glows in the dark, and I, again, sewed it myself. Pencil skirt with a high waist - from my first graduation collection, the theme of which were blonde-icons. On the shoe and bag "goose foot" is repeated. It remains to add that the classic Scottish drawing "goose foot" works fine in acid colors.

Backpack from my SS12 collection, which was called Nordkapp, by the name of the place where I would like to be and wear this backpack now. This is a cape on the island of Magerjø in northern Norway. Pendelton headsets from the Urbanears collaboration are perfect.

Another thing Minna Parikka with glitter in my wardrobe, it only fits a credit card and keys, and nothing more is needed! The Acne leather bag is absolutely perfect, but it's too bulky for me. I think to sell it to one photographer.

Points Alain Mikli from the 70s. I found them in Optiikkahuone in Helsinki. At first, the black-and-white clutch seemed terrible to me, but the goose-foot design was a bribe - it is a classic, and it will always be appropriate. So the clutch always fits well into my images. An earring was presented to me by a friend in London when I was studying there. He himself cut it with a laser.
