Lines and points: Editorial Wonderzine tries minimalistic nail art
Experiments with a manicure are fun and sometimes very simple: We have repeatedly shown examples of spectacular nail art, which will cost the smallest effort. We, too, were a little tired of red lacquer and comfortable nuda and asked several salons and craftsmen to help us try on a viable nail art: alas, manicure survives poorly on the nails that constantly have to knock on the keyboard. We show what happened at the six editorial staff.
Geometric nail art with "eyes"
I never make drawings on the nails - I only did shellac a few times in my life. Despite the bugbugs that after his nails are sure to peel off, my flight is excellent: my fingers felt fine after the last time. I love geometric prints and abstract drawings, so if I do nail art, it is only in their spirit.
I liked the option à la "the eye of the evil eye" (it is clear that I will not use nails as a talisman), I think this is a pleasant combination of colors. Unfortunately, the blue was not at hand, and we took the purple - but it turned out all the same beautifully. From the bottom of my heart, thanks to shellac for durability and unkillable shine: the usual varnish peels off my nails in a matter of days. I am terribly pleased with the result, even despite the convexity of the drawing. I think the next time, too, come up with something like that, when you want the color on the nails again - usually it happens once a season.
Abstract strokes and foil on transparent background
Zhenya specializes in an unusual design that makes a long-term coating - however, this pattern can be recreated at home with the help of ordinary nail polishes and colored foil. Abstract nail art may consist of smooth lines, and maybe - from clear and geometric. I chose more rounded “drops” and calm blue shades, which I can watch for two weeks without irritation. Most of all I like the fact that the base has remained transparent - both the foil and the multi-colored pattern do not look too motley.
Floral Stemping
I like to look at Nastya's work on instagram, so I gladly invited her to paint on editorial nails. Moreover, Nastya just released her own tile for a stamping campaign in the collaboration with the MoYou London brand, on the official website it sells for 5.99 pounds and is delivered to Russia without any problems. With its help, you can make a marble manicure, apply inscriptions in Cyrillic to your nails, or make a detailed botanical design - I chose the latter.
I used to see my nails broken off in all possible places or not to look at them at all, so as not to think about the cuticle. And today we found a not too simple home-made version, but a very nice design: small twigs and leaves look cool on short nails, and after we added a matte finish, we get a beautiful texture - not a gloss, but a glaze. I think next time I will choose a transparent coating, like my colleagues: it looks both fun and at the same time as if you didn’t try very hard. I really wanted to master stamping: Nastya really drew patterns on my nails faster than I could blink.
Thin lines on nude background
I have always envied people who can make themselves a manicure themselves: all my attempts to paint something intricate on my nails always ended in tears. That's probably why for ten years now my nails look about the same: short with clear or red lacquer and uncircumcised cuticle.
Neil art seemed to me a bit pretentious and absolutely not suitable for everyday life. It seems to me that they got carried away in 2016, when the patterns on the nails began to appear on the models at the 3.1 Phillip Lim and House of Holland shows. I liked the experiment, but still it is unusual to see patterns on my nails - I will hardly repeat this experience.
Translation tattoos on nails
I do a professional manicure three times a year: since childhood there has been a fear of non-sterile instruments. Usually I cope at home myself and I am satisfied with the result. There is a ritual in this: pour warm water, steam your nails, turn on some kind of show, blow on lacquer to dry out faster. And I go to the salon when everything is really bad or just want to cheer up.
The master praised my nail plate, explained why the hardware manicure is more suitable, and made it very carefully and carefully. Since this was an editorial assignment, I allowed to do whatever she wanted on her nails. As a result, I had on my hands shellac, pearl rubbing "unicorn", swallows, grass and favorite points. For my taste, too festive for my downshifting self-awareness, but the experience is cool. Feel presentable lady.
Dot manicure with daisies
I love minimalism in manicure, so I usually paint my nails with a classic red or transparent varnish (or don't paint them at all). A couple of years ago, my only attempt to join the nail art was crowned with a great failure: the master made me an uneven “moon” manicure. It was shellac, so the thought of how much time it would take to rework it led me to horror. I left everything as it was, and then returned to the usual approach. This summer I decided to give nail art a second chance - these daisies seemed very beautiful to me. I am happy with the result: the master did everything very carefully. I think that in the future I will not completely abandon the nail art.
