You can easily find Miles McMillian in various lists of "male models that are worth watching" - and for good reason. Long hair and bright appearance every season provides this twenty-five-year-old American with work: from Bottega Veneta shows to Tommy Hilfiger campaigns. The portrait of McMillian could have been put on advertising for the California lifestyle, but he prefers filming more provocative (carefully, very NSFW), and lifestyle is more bohemian. In the model he was recruited while studying at the New York Institute of the Arts, and, being a fan of Lucien Freud and Richard Phillips, he still puts painting above the modeling career. Like many young artists, he is engaged not in abstraction, but in figurative painting. His main themes are sensuality and androgyny, both in portraits and in images of flowers.
Among other things, Miles McMillian is openly gay and since 2013 has been dating actor Zachary Quinto - the star of "Star Trek" and "American Horror Story." Quinto, in the best traditions of the 21st century, announced their relationship in his instagram, and since then boyfriends constantly post pictures of each other. However, McMillian’s “star instagram” account is completely unlike: it’s a series of lively, laid-back and personal photos that don’t scream - “I am a celebrity and handsome”. Instead, there is an "ordinary" life in the spirit of "we are all people": friends, backstage filming, homemade food, travel, weddings of loved ones and their pets. Before us is just a happy person who clearly loves himself (yes, selfies are not uncommon here too) and others. With all his instagram Miles McMillian shows how normal a person’s life can be in a free and peaceful world, beyond the control of stereotypes.
