Producer Rita Tomylo about the comfort zone and favorite cosmetics
For category "Cosmetic Bag" we study the contents of beauty cases, dressing tables and cosmetic bags of interesting characters to us - and we show all this to you.
About appearance
It was always difficult for me to accept my appearance: I was a child full and ugly from the point of view of my classmates; still sometimes see in the mirror the girl with whom no one wanted to dance at the school disco. From adolescence, I suffered from eating disorders and I know firsthand what it is to gain and throw off ten kilograms per month, as it affects self-esteem and the general condition of the body. Now I’m vegan and I eat intuitively: I don’t stick to any diets and I feel good.
About lifestyle
After I started working in freelancing, my life, and with it my daily routine and habits, everything changed. At first it was a bit scary, but in the end it turned out that it was cool to organize your day by yourself and deftly insert into your schedule a nap and fast yoga. I try to sleep well and be less nervous. It is also important for me to observe hygiene in communication. I turn off notifications in messengers, if I feel that I am tired, I minimize the conversations with people with whom I feel uncomfortable. I used to scold myself for aimless leisure, like watching a reality show or the series "Happy Together," I constantly felt guilty for choosing this and not reading a book. But in general, there is no bad leisure.
The most important thing for me is my comfort zone. I definitely need to relax at all from everyone, even from the closest people and the most exciting correspondence. I put too much emotion into any communication, so then I just need to lie with headphones for a couple of hours, singing along with Brian Molko. If I do not have the opportunity to do it in the middle of the day, I still find a few minutes for breathing exercises or aimless walking to the nearest store.
About good habits
This year my work was often related to parties. I love good music and dancing with friends, but now I try to get involved in it less often. I also almost managed to quit smoking: I was a heavy smoker for ten years, who starts his day not with breakfast, but with a cigarette. Now I only smoke for the company, and this is not bad - all smokers will understand me. A cool new habit was the ability to stop any toxic communication - work or personal. I used to underestimate the effect of stress on overall health. I sincerely dream to improve relations with sports: with age the body changes and in order to feel good, physical activity is needed. In the near future I plan to sign up for the pool.
About care
I adhere to the "the less the better" approach, so all sorts of multistage care systems are not at all mine. Standard morning - gel for washing, tonic, day cream (always with SPF!) And cream for the skin around the eyes. In the evening I wash off the makeup, apply a tonic, and then I focus on the condition of the skin: either a cream with acids, or a night moisturizing mask, or an antibiotic ointment, which the dermatologist prescribed to me. In winter, amid severe stress, I had a relapse of acne, the consequences of which I have been treating so far.
I love my cactus body brush, do a dry massage, take a douche and apply coconut oil. In summer, I additionally use a sunblock with high SPF on all exposed parts of the body. I literally do not leave the house without sunscreen: I do not like tanning.
About make-up
In fact, I do not really know how to paint. To draw arrows for me is a whole challenge. Recently, I starred in the video, and I was offered to lighten my eyebrows. I immediately agreed. And I have never felt so cool! I have to admit that in Moscow I often hear that it looks weird, they can point at me with my finger in transport, especially if at the same time I am brightly painted lips. But it seems important to me to express myself through appearances, just in Russia, this is still a very conservative attitude. But things are slowly changing.
I try to follow cosmetic innovations, especially interesting multi-functional tools and modern care. I read blogs by Adel Miftakhova and Masha Vorslav in a telegraph. I also like the reality show "RuPaul's Drag Race": there are a lot of things that inspire me.
