Designer Outlaw Moscow Dilyara Minrakhmanova about favorite outfits

FOR RUBBER "WARDROBE" we take pictures of beautiful, original or strangely dressed people in their favorite things and ask them to tell stories related to them. This week our heroine is Dilara Minrahmanova, designer and co-founder of the Outlaw Moscow brand.

I have a complicated relationship with things: I get along with a dozen different women and I take great pleasure in trying on different images of myself with the help of clothes. Yes, the profession has defined my uniform: most often (especially during the creation of collections) I wear black jeans and a T-shirt, sneakers or boots - this is the most comfortable, non-distracting shell.

I work a lot with color, texture and shapes, and I love seeing the result of work on someone. Clothing for me is aesthetically the most understandable and interesting language, a tool for dialogue and a manifesto in art. At the same time, the stores often do not have enough time, so basically I buy things on trips. I do not like online stores - tactile sensations are important to me and I need fitting. I love vintage, positive attitude to exchanges with friends - the last time we waved Hoodie from our latest collections with Canadian designer friends during Milan Fashion Week; then their thing saved from the cold nights on the boat during a regatta in Italy. I love shoes, unusual cut, accessories of strange shapes and things with history.

Rihanna jacket for River Island, Outlaw Moscow dress, Rick Owens boots

The perfect denim jacket is my faithful companion in almost all travels. I bought in the first years of university; she is heavy and big, but I love her anyway. Jacket constantly strive to steal friends, boys. I don’t remember how these leather pants appeared, but shoes are a random find at a rare moment of shopping in Moscow. Made from recycled leather that looks like paper. They seem to stand in pointe.

Bomber jacket, pants and swimsuit - Outlaw Moscow, boots Fenty x Puma

Bomber bolero, pants and swimsuit - collection SS-18. Bomber made after Chinese fakes of our things appeared.

Sconce Outlaw Moscow, The Incorporated trousers, Kurt Geiger shoes

I pay tribute to R & B and American culture. Jeans brazenly stole from his friend Slavik. Shoes with glitter - impulsive buying; they have impeccable lift that makes the leg elegant. Bra made to wear over dresses and shirts, but also looks cute. Especially suitable for dancing, and especially - not in November.

Trench coat Outlaw Moscow, sweatpants from China, Yuul Yie shoes

Trench stitched in a single copy, because the fabric was small; he rustles pleasantly and keeps his shape cool. The shoes have a sister-in-law couple in Germany: my Berlin girlfriend Nina somehow came across her at a Korean designer's shop in Mitte. Training is one of the few things left over from living in China.

Marni sweater, vintage jeans, Prada sandals

This American pair of jeans of the coolest quality has an interesting story: they were brought to Russia in large batches back in the 80s, but until 2015 they were in a warehouse in the building where our production is located. We accidentally found out about its existence and bought up entirely for Outlaw Moscow. We still sew jackets and jeans from it. This pair I just cut off the length and it turned out the perfect fringe.

I bought a knitted sweater in Berlin before flying to Moscow: we went to the promenade along the Kreuzberg with my Berlin friend Max and went to the Voo store. The necklines fascinated me, and besides, I have long wanted an ivory sweater.

Vintage jacket, COS dress, Maison Margiela ankle boots, Himère earring

During the last trip to Rome, my friend Christina and I decided that one day we would be mindlessly walking around the city. Our improvisation included a couple of vintage stores, where we had a long and funny change of clothes and fotkalis, and in the end we bought two almost identical jackets. Noted this excellent gelato around the corner. The dress is an atypical purchase for me, but at that moment I really wanted something simple and clear.

The dress is custom-made, boots Maison Margiela

Dress made especially for the theme party for regatta in Italy. There were many glitter and mother of pearl, but the stars that night still shone brighter.

Top Jil Sander, vintage shorts, boots Fenty x Puma, Himère earring

I love all volume, especially the top. Shoes gave Puma - I feel like a "big girl" in them.

Military jacket, Moschino jeans, Oak T-shirt, Maison Margiela ankle boots

I am pleased to wear this American military jacket - I love her for the pleasant combination of colors and immense size; bought in Berlin in a specialized shop a few years ago. I love jeans of all shapes and colors, but I rarely find suitable ones, each time it is a small holiday. These vintage from the 80s are perfectly blue, frayed and of the right length; I wear for many years. Well, the ingenious Maison Margiela Tabi became for me the most comfortable shoes - I want them in all colors and textures. Mike bought by chance in Berlin this spring: she has an asymmetrical shape and she is made of pleasant cotton. I also took the same white one and wore it all summer long.

Top Amalfi designers, custom-made dress

The jacket is made in the classic southern Italian style, and I bought it in Amalfi. Probably, so that it hung beautifully in the closet. Here is a reason to wear.

Himère Earrings

I stopped wearing rings, bracelets and chains, and replaced numerous volumetric earrings with a pair of modest models, which I almost never take off. One of them is the crescent Himère, which Dina’s girlfriend made. He can be said, my talisman. My dad somehow presented me with earrings, the design of which I decided to change - now they are lying with the same brilliant friend and are waiting for a jewelery transfiguration. Yes, Ding, really looking forward to!

Points Fakoshima x Outlaw Moscow

It is convenient to use as a mirror when traveling, for example, to the sea.

Hermès Vintage Shawl

A gift in the period of my special love for vintage. I do not wear often, I tie it on my head, neck or bag.

Perfume Stéphane Humbert Lucas 777 Soleil de Jeddah

Maximum mine

Clutch - gift bags - Prada and vintage

The clutch of unknown origin is shiny and uplifting - it was given to me by my first love a million years ago. A Prada bag is an occasional purchase in Sydney, I have been wearing it all the time for a year now - this is the most convenient thing, suitable for almost the entire wardrobe. Last bag - vintage post-war years; took her in Rome about five years ago from a nice old lady in a vintage furniture and accessories store.

Ankle Boots Dries Van Noten

When you put them on, a festive mood immediately appears.

Prada shoes

Miniature heel for miniature me. I bought five years ago - they always remain relevant.
