Who to subscribe: Project Nood in support of nudity in social networks
We continue to tell about decent accounts in social networks through which you can view the whole world.
The Nood application by Melina Dimarko is, unfortunately, only a project so far. The artist came up with a body-positive initiative to circumvent the ban on showing naked bodies in social networks, in particular the female breast. Google Play and the Apple App Store politely declined the author’s proposal because it contains "inappropriate materials." Now at Change.org, you can sign a petition that calls for helping the application to come out in full. In the meantime, you can see how it will look in the official Nood instagram or Dimarco personal account.
Nood contains a set of hand-drawn stickers, mostly repeating the human anatomy. They can cover those parts of the body, which are so afraid of Instagram and Facebook. There are nipples of all colors, pubes with and without hair, as well as scars and symbolic pictures - scrambled eggs, a rainbow or a pink ribbon. Dimarko says that the idea was born when she was tired of imposing stickers in the form of crosses and hearts - she does not see anything reprehensible in the nude nature. A worthy contribution to achieving #FreeTheNipple does not seem to take long: most of the required petition signatures have already been collected.
