Designer and illustrator Anya Schemeleva-Konovalenko about favorite outfits

FOR RUBBER "WARDROBE" we take pictures of beautiful, original or strangely dressed people in their favorite things and ask them to tell stories related to them. This week our heroine is the head of the design department of Buro 24/7 and the illustrator Anya Schemeleva-Konovalenko.

Since childhood, I loved to dress up. I was surrounded by luxurious women: mother, grandmother and aunt, each of them had and still has her own style. I still have nostalgic notes in my wardrobe: I recently bought striped linen shorts, and my mother recalled that she wore exactly the same when I was a child. In general, I really like the icons of the style of the 90s, especially Caroline Bisset-Kennedy.

I buy clothes mostly online. I almost always know exactly what I want, and I keep things on board in the interest called "need it". If, as time passes, I understand that after all I have not lost any thing, then I buy it. When traveling, I don’t really like to go shopping, so I’m sampling and saving what I like on the phone, and coming to a particular place, I immediately ask the consultant to bring the necessary things. I developed this approach when I moved away from my parents and began to live on my own. In high school and college I had a lot of things - some I wore once or did not wear at all. It was a torture to get together: I changed clothes a hundred times. And when moving I decided to take only what I really carry and really love. Since then, the problem with the choice of clothes has disappeared, and the things that I stop wearing, I take to charity or give away.

My work does not imply a dress code, so I can wear whatever I want. I feel equally comfortable in a white T-shirt with blue jeans, and in a colorful dress embroidered with sequins. In general, whatever you wear, the main thing is love for yourself and a feeling of confidence. Although the same dress in sequins has a therapeutic effect and sometimes helps to return the last of the two.

Sweatshirt Yeezy Season 4, Iron Iron by Mironova, Mango sandals, Céline glasses

I officially declare that cycling is the best thing that happened to me this summer. The Yeezy milk sweatshirt isn't the most practical thing, but it has the perfect cut.

Sweatshirt and bicycles - Yeezy Season 6, adidas sneakers Yeezy 500 Super Moon Yellow

This set of Yeezy could be purchased on pre-order for six months and only entirely, so I call it "Kim's uniform." Someone from my acquaintances even offered to lighten my hair in platinum so that the image would be complete. If without irony, then I really like Yeezy things, they are well made and sit cool.

Coat and dress - Jacquemus, boots Mango

In the movie "While you were sleeping," Sandra Bullock wore a coat that she got from her father. It is large and cozy, I always wanted the same to wrap myself in the cold. I gave it to me for the New Year - I ran in the morning of December 30 to KM20, and I ran out with a large woolen coat that I plan to wear until old age.

I so adore this red wool dress that it has a summer version in the form of a cotton crop top with the same sleeves.

Trench & Other Stories, dress and muley - 12Storeez, bag by J.W.Anderson

A couple of years ago, I stopped buying things in Zara and H & M, and in the wardrobe from the mass market there were only Uniqlo, Mango and & Other Stories that I still wear. Now, when I need minimalistic basic things, I look towards the young Russian brands. White dress 12Storeez bought for a trip to Paris, when the weather forecast promised plus thirty. I wear it with sandals and sneakers.

Almost all the jewelry that I wear every day is the gifts of parents for birthdays and significant dates. For example, I wear earrings that I bought for my birth. So this gold chain with pearls is a gift from mother. In general, I really like this sentimental component in things.

Jacquemus blouse, Topshop jeans, COS mules, "Pace" bag

This blouse does not leave anyone indifferent: either love or hate her. I really love it, despite the frank cut, which makes the interlocutor blush. In general, with Simon Jacqumus most of the things are sewn so as to slightly open up some unexpected part of the body.

Garage sweater, Topshop jeans, COS mules, unknown brand earring

One shoulder sweater bought in Minsk concept space Zarya 26. A very spectacular thing that is cool to wear in summer cool evenings.

I AM Studio dress, sneakers Nike Air Max 97 Silver Bullet, Mansur Gavriel bag, Céline glasses

I AM Studio's denim dress bought specifically for the first day at Buro 24/7. Sits smartly, but the only negative - the buttons always come off.

The most convenient bag in the world! Everything fits in it, so I wear in it both a form, and a cosmetics bag, and a camera; be sure to take a trip.

Jacquemus dress, loafers and glasses - Gucci, bag "More"

Straw bag "Pace" I carry in the city and on vacation. It is spacious, keeps its shape, and most importantly, it has closing compartments. I wear a striped dress in the heat paired with loafers: even if you are in Moscow, it seems that you are walking around Rome.

Alpha Industries Bomberber, Dress & Earrings - & Other Stories, Mango Booties

I saw this dress in a collection of things with sequins - my parents were just resting in Barcelona, and I asked them to bring the dress to me from there. I associate it with the capital of Catalonia also because the print resembles the work of Joan Miro.

Jacket from Parcel, top and jeans - Mango, Henry Kole ankle boots

Friends and colleagues call me the "Crop Tops Director", and there is some truth in this. I adore them: I wear them with jackets, shirts and just like that. I bought the jacket at the Parcel store, and I replaced Versace’s blouses with my mother’s shirt — I was looking at “American Crime History”, and Penelope Cruz won me over. If I don this thing to meetings or events, I feel as cool as Donatella.

Ankle boots Swedish brand Henry Kole bought in Vilnius, in the concept store Salt Concept, wore all last autumn and this spring.

Jacquemus Shirt, Levi's Shorts, Earrings & Other Stories

It would seem that a simple shirt seller fruit, but no: the right sleeve - in red stripes. Usually I don’t give away things that I don’t wear for a long time, or I donate them to charity. But now the white 501st "Levis", lying idle, decided to cut off. So I had very cool shorts that I wear all the time.

Nike Top, Unknown Brand Skirt, COS Mules

I spend a lot of time playing sports and yoga. I often wear sports bras, tops and bicycles in everyday life in order to rush into the gym immediately after work. This saves a lot of time, plus what’s already there, sports things now look like you really feel like an athlete. My sister brought me a black linen skirt from India - this is a godsend for a hot summer.

Off-white belt

Last year we in Buro 24/7 released an interview with Virgil Ablo. The material turned out to be large-scale, and during the work on it I was very much in love with Virgil. Knowing how important this project was for me, the guy gave me this belt in exactly the color I dreamed of. Now the admiration of the designer himself has passed, but I still wear the belt all the time. It can be combined with shorts and jeans, and you can gird them with light dresses and even a coat. The only negative - you have to tie for a long time.

Earrings Masha Maroz

Young artist and jewelry designer Masha Maroz makes absolutely fantastic in its beauty earrings and necklaces. I wear a red dress and a striped Jacquemus dress.

Earrings & Other Stories

Earrings & Other Stories and Heart of Moscow badges

I love all these earrings so much that I even dedicated a series of illustrations to them.

Zorka Ring

This ring of the Belarusian jewelry brand Zorka. When I come to my native Minsk, I definitely go to the brand's shop to try on minimalistic rings that they succeed.

Céline, Vogue x Gigi Hadid, Gucci glasses

My grandmother always taught me to wear glasses, even when it's cloudy, so as not to wrinkle and ruin my eyes. Therefore, I always have a pair in my bag.

Aromas Zadig & Voltaire This Is Him, Gucci Bloom, Loewe 001 Man, Panama Sport 1924

Last time I began to buy fragrances on trips to associate smells with memories. So, Byredo Unnamed smells like Barcelona, Loewe 001 smells like Berlin, and Gucci Bloom smells like Rome. I also like men's fragrances very much, for example Panama Sport 1924, Zadig & Voltaire This is Him or Maison Margiela Replica At the Barber's.

Jacquemus book "Marseille Je T'aime"

The book received from colleagues as a birthday present. I think Simon is the brightest designer of our time - I love him for his sincerity, naivety, and I consider him a real artist. Every time I put some of his things on myself, I feel it is sewn for me. The colors, materials, cut and philosophy of his brand are all mine.
