We have already talked about the Filipino media artist Eisen Bernard, who in his work combines the fine arts and pop culture. Bernard's previous project - Mag + Art - was dedicated to the covers of glossy magazines. In Album + Art instagram, the artist creates collages from famous paintings and music album covers: as a result, Lana Del Rey appears in Joshua Reynolds, Childish Gambino becomes "Sitting Harlequin" by Pablo Picasso, Lady Gaga radically changes the "Birth of Venus" by William Bouguereau, and cover Beyonce’s album turns out to be part of the Mark Rothko canvas. The idea of putting famous paintings in an unexpected context is not new, but it is always useful to look at well-known works with a fresh look - and there, perhaps, you will want to improve knowledge of the visual arts.
