Although studies increasingly show that electric toothbrushes remove plaque better than manual ones, the cleaning technique remains imperfect even for the most diligent. Colgate came up with a new format: using a complex algorithm for reading movements, the brush collects data on how you brush your teeth, and sends them to an iPhone or smart watch - and you see on the screen which areas should be given more attention, and keep track of the overall statistics. The app makes recommendations to make dental hygiene as effective as possible; For those to whom it all seems boring, there are two games in the application.

The brush itself is sound, i.e., vibratory - true, manufacturers do not indicate the number of vibrations per minute, they only call them "low-frequency". The description of the technique of use is also somewhat confusing: it is proposed to move the brush from the gum to the edge of the tooth - that is, to brush it as a manual one. At the same time, sound toothbrushes have their own rules, and it is precisely such movements that are prohibited, as dangerous for the gums and enamels - so, perhaps, the oscillation frequency of Colgate E1 is simply not high enough. However, we suspect that the first customers will be important not the cleaning ability of the brush, but the fact that it was developed jointly with Apple.
