Healthy habits of TV journalist Semen Senderov
IN RUBRIC "LIFESTYLE"we ask different people about healthy lifestyles with a human face: we talk about the importance of taking care of yourself and pleasant ways to make life more comfortable. The hero of the new release is TV journalist Semyon Senderov.
I do not stick to one training scheme - I do it spontaneously, adjusting to a complex schedule. If I see that there are three hours of free time, I run into the gym and do strength exercises. For a long time I worked with a trainer - I liked that he was inventing new approaches, since I really do not like the routine. In addition, his severity conquered my laziness.
My day starts with coffee: standing at the stove with the Turk, I try to persuade myself to make breakfast, as recommended by adherents of a healthy lifestyle. I have no appetite in the morning, so if I manage to force myself to eat oatmeal, I think that the day started perfectly - most often I’m limited to scrambled eggs. Because of the unpredictable schedule, my “morning” is a conditional concept, it can be at five in the morning or at five in the evening, if you have to work all night.
I think you should not blame or scold yourselffor something in the lifestyle. You just need to stop and think about how you can do differently, what can be improved, changed. Now, especially thanks to social networks, we see how others can spend productive and useful time - and this is a great motivation.
With my pace of life, it's important not to even get enough sleep, and just sleep. Business trips are added to the shift schedule, such as when you are not going to the hotel from the plane, but to work immediately with all things, even if you flew up to this for ten hours. Learn to sleep in any position anywhere. For me, well-being is when I don’t think about my well-being.
Probably my main life hack - daytime sleep. And best of all, before you go to bed, drink coffee, then in half an hour you will not stand up with a broken head, but in full readiness to continue working, because it is at this moment that caffeine will begin to act.
For me the most difficult thing in a healthy lifestyle - this is constancy. I envy those who can eat at the same time, go to workouts on a strict schedule and go to bed at about the same hour. Many still recommend counting proteins, fats and carbohydrates in order to achieve the desired shape, but I cannot.
I have come to terms with the fact that there is no time at home. I always have lunch and dinner either at work or in a cafe. In between direct inclusions save protein shake and bananas.
If you have the opportunity to eat at home, then most often I make salads - I mix everything I find in the fridge and can be used without heat treatment. Sometimes I bake salmon in the oven, it’s just a godsend for those who are busy, you don’t even need to wash the dishes - you just throw out the fish foil.
The work of the correspondent in the news is unpredictable. Today you fly somewhere to cover the meeting of the two presidents, tomorrow you find yourself practically at the North Pole, and the day after tomorrow - at war, if you agree. Previously, I really wanted to work in a hot spot, but over time, the desire faded, partly because of the course of military journalists "Bastion".
In Russia, this training is probably one of the toughest in the world. The organizers themselves admit that their goal is to dissuade from the idea of going to war, and if they fail, then at least teach how to behave in the most difficult moments. During the week, journalists live in the barracks, each time they choose a new military unit, learn to work in extreme conditions. For example, you are first told about different types of mines, and then you go through the minefield and try to bypass all the traps - they are certainly not real, but they explode loudly.
Even at night we could not relax, because they thought that at any moment people in masks would rush in, tie us up and carry us away. And all because the highlight of the program is the abduction that occurs at any moment of the course, in our case, during an excursion in the forest. The bus hit a mine, there was a loud explosion, and a second later the masked men were already shooting at machine guns and throwing us out into the street.
Before the training, we thought it would be just a presentation and there was nothing to be afraid of - but at some point you realize that the clamps painfully dig into the hands tied behind your back, and the bag on your head is tightened so tight that there is nothing to breathe. And in such a state we were forced to crawl on our knees through the woods, throwing puddles in, put footboards so that we fell directly on the snags; All this lasts a little more than an hour, ending with interrogation with a knife at the throat.
Probably the worst thing about this production is the realization that you are ready to surrender, although this is not even a real abduction. You understand that the instinct of self-preservation here simply does not work, and there comes a tough awareness of reality, an overestimation of values. You start to really admire those people who make scenes daily from Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan or other hot spots. And most importantly, you start to look at life differently.
The most helpful advice regarding sports and health, which I received is to listen to my body. No aesthetic or sporting results are worth the strain, because recovery will take a lot of precious time.
Jogging helps me best of all. I run at any time of the day, even at night, and it is on the street, and not on the treadmill. It seems to me that this is a kind of meditation - in addition to a cool way to improve physical fitness.
