Common: Men about self-care and proven products.

TODAY SPECIAL COSMETIC RULES, intended for masculine skin, every large brand has, and the culture of personal care is no longer considered a female prerogative. Jokes about the fact that a man can do with one piece of soap, it's time to leave the past: we asked six people about what their daily care looks like.

It seems to me that self-care is a normal, natural human need: to perform some regular actions in order to keep fit. My main problem is dry skin due to air-conditioned rooms, coffee, urban ecology. I use any moisturizer for the face, which is presented, two or three times a week I make masks. Malin + Goetz has a miracle: it cleanses the skin, saturates it with moisture and oxygen. From Hong Kong and Thailand, I bring cloth face masks, they are in any of our pharmacies. I also use coconut oil or a mixture of coconut and olive: they perfectly moisturize and support the skin in tone. In the plane I always take with me the sea water for the nose of the Aquamaris type and ask the conductors for a large bottle of water for the entire flight. I do not forget about eye drops - very good ones are sold in Japan, I buy them when I'm in Tokyo. In general, I try to drink more water and less coffee and alcohol, not to smoke: all this affects the condition of the skin.

I have been fond of skin care for several years: during this time I have developed a scheme that I try to follow. I rarely try new products, I trust the old and proven tools more. For cleansing - Shiseido Ibuki Gentle Cleanser. I do not use scrubs - they are too traumatic for the skin. To moisturize choose cream depending on the mood and condition of the face in the morning. This may be Dermedic Hydrain 3 Hialuro or Clarins Fluide Hydratant Matifiant. I also use Caudalie Vinosource L'Eau de Raisin Bio face spray. Once or twice a week masks: night repair Shiseido Ibuki and Clarins Extra-Firming Mask. As for sun protection, my favorite is Clinique Face Cream SPF 30. There's always a pack of matting napkins and balm on hand: Lush Rose Lollipop saves lifeless lips in minutes.

It seems to me that a well-groomed face is just as important as neat clothes or clean shoes. I can not understand why in Russia, many men find self-denial. The last six months I spent in Finland, studied under the program of international exchange. In Northern Europe they take care of themselves: Sweden is perhaps the leader, followed by Norway and Denmark. Finland is a little behind, but many people use cosmetics here too: moisturizing products are the most popular, of course. In general, I travel a lot, and almost nowhere do men complex on this topic. In Seoul, for example, there are sometimes more men in cosmetics stores than women.

My basic care products are moisturizer, tonic, lip and skin creams around the eyes. All - brand La Mer. Plus shampoo and shower gel Aesop. When something from this ends, just buy the same, so I always try to take the largest volume. From regular procedures - massage (but not relaxing, but sports), spa treatments for hands and feet: manicure, pedicure, scrubs.

In general, I understand, of course, that the vast majority of men do not bother as much as I do. But it seems to me that if you are going to spend 100 pounds on jeans or a sweater, but you have bad skin, then it is simply meaningless. In my opinion, you just need to accustom yourself to regularity: how to brush your teeth. My friends relate differently to this: someone understands the importance of care, someone does not.

I read about cosmetics in men's magazines, but basically, when choosing, the trial and error method works. Of course, with age I can afford more expensive and high-quality products, and when I find mine, I just stick to it.

My daily care looks like this: wake up - go to the shower, my head. Immediately I dry my hair, they curl in me, so that after washing you need styling. Apply matting paste on the hair, gel-cream on the face. I smear my hands and elbows with cream, otherwise they dry up. In the evening, a shower without washing your head, washing your face with a cleansing gel scrub, apply the cream. Now I use Nivea, but in the near future I want to switch to men's cosmetics. While I started with trial shampoos, I bought a small-sized American Crew. In addition, I go to the hammam every week, at least once a month for a massage with a scrub (not sports, but some Thai), once every two months cleaning the face with a massage, if you can find time for it.

If you look through magazines or even watch TV, you can see that successful people all over the world look very well-groomed and watch themselves: they go to the gym, use cosmetics. Firstly, it attracts others, and secondly, you start to feel good, you yourself are pleased. Of course, there are men who believe that they should be “brutal” and they don’t need any care, but this approach is not clear to me.

For the first time, I seemed to take advantage of professional care at the age of 20 - at that time it was more entertainment, a way to take advantage of time. The place was more than suitable - the Clarins Spa at the Astoria Hotel. Then a lot changed, but all this time Astoria remained for me the center of attraction. Now there is the French house Carita - one of the best institutions in St. Petersburg, if you need to make treatments for the face and body. Recently addicted to going to the Barbershop for a dangerous shave - this is very convenient.

As for home care, here I am very lazy, I usually forget about all the means. Therefore, I always choose something super-neutral and easy to use. For many years he used the Australian brand Aesop, and now, with the arrival of the Cosmotheca chain of stores in St. Petersburg, he has become a fan of two brands: Cosmetics 27 and Verso - they are brilliant, and the result is what we see.

For a long time, cosmetics were completely unimportant to me. I remember periods when a piece of olive soap was my only and universal remedy. Like many men, I saw a variety of cosmetics on the shelf in front of the mirror of my girlfriend - she does it professionally. Houses constantly appeared some new jars and bottles. Over time, I got used to them and began to use.

And then we launched our own brand of cosmetics, and I had to thoroughly deal with the issues of care. I received basic information from serious professional and scientific sources, thanks to which I formulated simple rules. Hair products should just be the same type; skin is important moisturizing and UV protection; for care should be used only cosmeceuticals.

Now I prefer my brand, I use almost the entire line. Shampoo is understandable, conditioner is a must, hair is bad without it. I use a cleanser, as well as hand cream - it is non-greasy and well absorbed, so it is even suitable for the face. For laying I use matte clay of any brand - this is my whole set.
