How to come to life after the holidays: 7 tips for all times
Masha Vorslav
Formulated and remembered seven items and habits that will help to quickly get rid of the post-New Year state of a lazy seal and become a more or less vigorous and efficient person again.
Drinking water
They doubted whether to put this point first, because it is even embarrassing from its obviousness. But sometimes even trivial things require reminders, and the rule to drink more water is one of those. During the feast, we eat more than we drink, and when we drink, it is most often alcohol or sweetened drinks. It is boring to remind you that our favorite coffee and tea help us to open our eyes in the morning, but at the same time they dehydrate (like cigarettes, salty food and life in general).
Delicious "vitamins"
Everyone, except for Sheldon Cooper, counts several dozen failed attempts to eat the next pack of the Most Useful Vitamins - despite this, we continue to hope that one day their habit will become a habit. We know from experience that even the most boring things can be varied, and we offer a simple trick: to buy attractive supplements. Yes, precisely because it is beautiful - for people of a certain warehouse or mood, the cheerful color of pop like Doppelherz Vitamin C + Zink or the jelly of "Supradin FrutoMix" can be the very last straw that moves the acquisition of good habit from a dead center. Recall that you need to choose supplements not at random, but after consulting with your doctor.
Full diet
For "How to recover after Thanksgiving?" The search engine gives out hundreds of identical articles, and they have valuable tips (and who, if they did not survive the Thanksgiving dinner, know everything about overeating). The most important, in our opinion, is not to put yourself on an empty ration with the start of work, Monday, February 1, or any other scheduled date. There is nothing useful in “punishing” yourself with fasting — neither for the stomach, nor for the emotional state, nor for the organism as a whole. Much better to gradually reduce the amount of food, while adhering to a balanced diet.
Evening without gadgets
The most difficult thing in the second half of January is to restore some kind of daily routine. This year, the case is complicated by the length of the New Year holidays, in which even the most disciplined person could not keep from daytime sleep. In addition, it is still dark in the mornings, and it is harder to wake up even at dusk - it is from this not very pleasant component of winter that the manufacturers of smart alarm clocks struggle. Regardless of whether there is such a gadget in the house or not, before going to bed, everyone should distance themselves from any screens emitting light (e-books reflecting the light are not to blame for anything) and arrange a quiet leisure with a paper book or something like "- after 40 minutes without backlighting it is really easier to fall asleep.
Short walks
A chicken by the grain and all that - short walks are still better than their absence. Sometimes even in winter there is weather, strolling along which it pulls, and one should not push the desire for later. Even if between the days when the street turns into a skating rink, and then into an ice swamp, there are only a couple of shoes safe for shoes, take a moment and crawl out of the subway one station earlier. In general, micro-walkings can be hooked anywhere - walking in the middle of the day at the grocery store for a smoking colleague will be useful for at least one of you.
Moderation in self-care
We understand the desire to plaster over the contents of all the most useful cans to level out the "random" cigarettes, special food, champagne and all the other delights of the holidays. Nevertheless, active care (we are now not only about scrubs, but about the abundance of masks and super-cleansing foams) can be no less irritating to the skin than a two-week epicurean. Highlight specific problems - peeling, rashes, dull complexion - and work on them, preferably under the supervision of a cosmetologist.
Gradual infusion into working mode
Refers to those who decided to extend the New Year holidays to an indecent amount, and most likely asleep at the time of this text. Again, from our own experience, we know how hard it is to return to the usual amount of work, even if the rest included not only rolling from one half of the sofa to the other with a PSP and a caviar sandwich. But since the work will overtake anyone sooner or later, it is wiser to get some work done while still on vacation: even when you probably sleep on the first working day, you will not have to rush into the office like a scalded person.
