I tested on the classic arrow, although, as it seemed to me, this thing is much better suited for trendy graphic lines. The first thing I want to note: when buying, be sure to check whether the material from which the stencil is made bends well enough. I came across a hard plastic on the Internet, you can’t cook porridge with it and you won’t draw a gunner. The material should be soft, it is desirable that it be silicone, which when used should fit snugly to the eyelid and not allow the eyeliner to go beyond the boundaries of reasonable.
The second thing I want to warn you about: to get a more or less useful result, you still need to be a little savvy in drawing lines on the face, although it would seem that the thing is just for the opposite. No, you need to roughly understand where the arrow should start and end, how sharp the angle should be, and so on: it will at least help to position the stencil correctly. Even for me, a man who draws arrows every day for eight years and spent a total of two hundred and eighteen hours on it, the first pancake came out in an ugly clod, despite my favorite gel liner, which never let me down. On the other hand, if you have a lot of free time and there is a desire to understand which arrow is yours, stencil is in your hands. Fortunately, you can bend and turn as you please. So, how to draw, of course. The question remains - what.
There is a very simple life hack for those who just want to use the stencil to get used to the shooter’s question, dark shadows. Those that are denser and less crumbly will do (the good matte is, for example, Rimmel has), and draw an arrow using a stencil with any brush for applying shadows. If everything went well, then we pass by the liner from above. For me, the first bad experience turned into a challenge, so heavy artillery went into action: a felt-tip pen, a black pencil from a mass market, and a gel liner. You can immediately remove the pencil to the side: it does not come out too rigidly and evenly. The arrow looks like the one that remains on the face in the morning after you returned home from a fairly fun party.
It was expected that the marker would show better than anyone, but in the process something went wrong, and life made its own adjustments. Due to the fact that the tip of the marker is sharp and thin, it is rather difficult to immediately paint over the field that the stencil has outlined: the eye is irritated, and the silicone plate itself travels from side to side, smearing what has already been applied to the eyelid. As a result, you look like Ville Valo in the best years, the marker was thoughtlessly spent and dried up, and at least a hatred arose to the stencil. There was only one option - to finish the gel eyeliner, which the stencil did not work out the first time. Tip: Take the eyeliner with a brush that can be easily bent at any angle. Felt-brush brushes will give the same result as already described above. If you have already trained enough and know the desired angle, then begin to draw the arrow itself along the contour of the stencil. Yes, take and circle. Like in school, the same triangles. When the outline is drawn, you can begin to fill the empty field, but you can not fill it: graphical arrows - this is great!
But we still trained on the classic arrow. A satisfactory result I got at the very end, after pain, denial, bidding. Conclusion: if you really want the fatal shooters, but it seems that the hands do not grow from there, from where I would like, in principle, you can stock up on a couple of hours of free time, all sorts of liner and patience and train in developing a smooth contour. Then you can safely throw away these unnecessary pieces of plastic, because the arrows are like a bicycle: if you learn to ride, you will not forget how.
