When I was quite small, there was a bathhouse in the country, which the grandfather had once built. So big that my brother and sister and I could even play there leapfrog, shower and beat each other with brooms. Therefore, the public city baths in my view were for some moment something not so native or something. Four years ago, my friend Julia Busorgina (for which she thanks a lot) practically brought me to the Warsaw baths on her hands, promising a magical healing from the last weekend. The effect was so overwhelming for me that after that we spent the whole winter in a small flock of girls going to the bath every couple of weeks. In winter, of course, this is a separate pleasure: you can put some delicious butter on your ears, dress up in your pajamas and go home to sleep in a wonderful way (if you go to the bathhouse in the evening). Later we changed our location: for a long time we went to Sanduny, and at the beginning of this year we moved to the Krasnopresnensky baths to "1905". The steam room there is just awesome, and this is still a big plus. In Sanduny, we are often all huddled like birds on a perch. In the summer, of course, we walk less often. But my favorite summer bath is when you literally flush out into the street, so fresh and relaxed, the wind blows warm ... As they say, you cannot describe with a pen ...

I once sat in the soap room (the room in front of the steam room, where basically all the water procedures take place), looked at these beautiful naked young ladies, remembered the very same triptych of Zinaida Serebryakova "Russian bath" and broke into some divine bliss. Imagine - a full room of beautiful naked girls and women. Each has its own life, affairs, concerns, problems and questions. And each of them found time to come here today, leave all their affairs for a while and devote this time to themselves. It doesn't matter whether you are alone or with someone else. This is all for yourself. For your health (both physical and moral). For me, a bath is like a meditation. The time I spend alone or with my friends there is always filled with something. It does not happen that we just sit and wait for something. In the breaks between the steam rooms, it is necessary to dive into the pool, and pour out of the gang, and go to Charcot's shower, and apply coffee scrub (by the way, Nastya Godunova from Good Enough walks with us - we have no problems with coffee). And so quietly passes 2-3 hours. At home, this I can not imagine (especially with coffee).

I like that in the bath completely different people. And the nudity balances them all. Sometimes, on neighboring hangers, wonderful grandmothers who have been going for procedures for forty years, and yoga teachers, and HR managers, and we, such young and talkative ones, may be near. And all come only for one thing - to relax. And for me, a bath is such a high level of relaxation. We often invite new girls with us. It is great that the bath has ceased in the general consciousness to be some kind of entertainment for another generation. For us, this is the same trip to the beauty salon. And if you go for the first time, you just need to feel free to ask questions if you came alone. In the bath, everyone understands everything perfectly - and they will definitely tell or prompt. I can divide my trips to the bath into two categories: a public bath and a country banya. Regularly go neither there nor there does not work because of the spontaneity of everything that happens in life. The first acquaintance with the bath happened on country friends' birthdays. When this happens in a fun company, the focus from hovering is shifted to jokes with conversations and tempering procedures: who will jump faster into a snowdrift, a chilling pool or a vat of water standing on a campfire.

I didn’t go to the bathhouse for fun only a couple of years ago. I chose on the advice of friends, locations and my first experience. I always go to a (public) bath with a girlfriend, for us it is a ritual of love for my body. One makes tea, herbal or berry, in a thermos; the second makes a scrub of used ground coffee beans with olive oil and a couple of drops of essential oils according to mood. After the bath, a wonderful dream, and it's great to warm up the muscles in it after workouts, but for some reason we always walk in the morning.

Usually we make three trips to the steam room, each next shorter than the previous one. The first two are accompanied by a quick shower, a pool and tea. The last trip is special, after it comes time favorite cans with masks, scrubs and creams. Ground coffee is quite hard abrasive, but the bath does not happen every week, and such a scrub does not injure the skin, and after olive oil the skin is silk all day.

I also had a negative experience when I went to the bathhouse immediately after waking up, not having breakfast, not drinking a glass of water. After the first approach, the already low pressure dropped, plus a strong dehydration - the body turned off. Having fainted, I earned a slight concussion, but I still can’t give up the pleasant one and I don’t put a cross on the bathhouse. But now, having gathered to take a steam bath, I keep in mind that we should not neglect the first signs of discomfort and the morning glass of water.

It is better to read a little about the sauna before going into it, or even better if the doctor approves your plan. And you need to know your peculiarities, of course: problems with pressure, heart, vessels, psychological discomfort (why do I consciously go to sweat with strangers ?!) and so on. Sauna and bath with skillful and conscious use is a very useful thing, the same vessels and heart can be strengthened in this way. But not with vodka instead of herbal tea. Another good, if you can, use the services of a bathhouse attendant This is a person who, with a broom, departs, and pulls him by the handle into the river, and he does a massage, and tea, and tracks your condition.

After the bath, the skin is very softened, the pores are cleaned. I also like to dip into the font between visits and the smell of essential oils and brooms, inhale the steam, completely relax. You can make a massage with honey, salt and beer. If a skilled person makes it, it's like being born again. Both skin and muscles are just new. I do not know the recipe, the bath attendant did it for me, but you can google it.

Most often, I go to the sauna at my parents' house. My father, an architect, managed to fit a very small sauna for 1-2 people into the space of a converted Khrushchev house. A couple of times it turned out to go to the recreation centers and in the city where I live now. With the company I walk somehow not very. I got used from the start alone, then with my husband. This is for me a complete relaxation, rest and body and head. And communication, even with your closest friends, is still work. Although when a small company and all equally treat the process, it turns out well, but in a different way. But at the level of sensations to communicate in the sauna is strange to me.

Several times they took children to the sauna, the eldest daughter (four years old, from three years old) liked to warm up a little and jump out into the pool, drink tea with honey. For her, this is a game. They took it at home and on all kinds of recreation centers, once in the city, but it was a bad plan: they broke the temperature regime, a lot of people, such. My daughter got sick after that, and we took into account the mistakes and realized that better is less, but better.

Friends went to a classic sauna, but my body and I were bored there. Well, then, I'm a countryman, my grandmothers always washed in the bath. As a result, instead of the sauna, she herself began to bathe and infected her with the habit of her friends (those who are not afraid of public baths). I go to Krasnopresnensk baths, I used to go to Sanduny, but there was no large pool there, and then they completely covered the women's section for long repairs. In general, the bath by trial and error is chosen by the bathers; in Krasnopresnenskikh, ideal days work a few days a week, when exactly - I will not say, crowds are already there.
