Beauty blogger Elvira Chabakauri about cosmetics, the Internet and appearance

FOR THE FACE "HEAD" we study the contents of beauty cases, dressing tables and cosmetic bags of interesting heroines to us - and show all this to you.

About how the blog appeared

I always had an interest in cosmetics, but it was not always possible to buy it, but there were a lot of problems about how a girl should look and should not. I used to be pretty from adolescence, namely, I became a blogger when I gave birth to my first child: I began to sit at home at the computer a lot, walk a lot and buy cosmetics. At first, I wrote something on the "Mama" forum, but I realized that there people are not interested in banks, they would bydlovato answer in the key "go and boil porridge better." I found the thematic community in LJ and realized that there are people like me who monitor collections. Now I don’t have any idea what I would do without a blog.

Many bloggers I know are now celebrating their fifth anniversary, and I will soon have one too - in March. By the way, not everyone survived: for many, blogging was a temporary hobby, but I somehow immersed myself more and more into the topic, even thinking about the new format. Of course, it helps me that I do not work. Famous bloggers, whom I watch on YouTube or read, work only on a blog and even earn good money on it, this is not yet possible with us.

Pro makeup

I used to emphasize my white skin, I was looking for the lightest tone in the world. It seemed to me that white skin is cool, but then I realized that it was the source code that could be shifted in one direction or the other. All this year I, on the contrary, made my face a little warmer, used bronzer in summer and winter. With him, I’m not tanned, but just normal, like the people around me.

In general, I love feathering, this is a basic technique that suits my face. I could love the graphics, but to me it doesn't really go well, in my opinion. I like contrasting images, a combination of cold and warm should be present in the make-up so that it looks harmonious and interesting. I'm talking about my face now, of course, everything is very subjective in makeup. One accent seems to me insufficient, this is the rule from Cosmopolitan magazine of my childhood about the emphasis either on the eyes or on the lips seems to me a nonsense that limits but does not help. The same, by the way, with color types. Such things seem to be created to help, but the girls from them are driven more than receive help.

I make up for the most part myself. I sometimes watch a video about make-up - it is more convenient to perceive information about it than from text. I am more inspired by cosmetics itself, every day there are one or two new key products around which I build an image. About two years ago I realized that it was easiest for me to make up my makeup in advance, because I want to spend enough time thinking about makeup. In the morning, when the children are five minutes away from me, I go to paint myself.

I can’t give advice and I love it when people themselves think, but I know for sure that the base under the shadow is a topic. I also always want to tell everyone that you need to wash off makeup in two stages. Such a system did not take root in our country, the brands realized that it’s reluctant to wash the conditional Europe twice, and they write that the product removes everything at once. In fact, if you do swatch on your hand, you will understand that a drop of oil will wash away more than soap in three sets.

Pro makeup brushes

I have a lot of brushes, although I know that many people like cosmetics and do not bother with brushes. I do not know what to say about them - what should they be? Yes, they should. I buy different brands, I like Bobbi Brown, but now their level of prices seems inadequate to me. I used to buy MAC sets, but then I realized that their quality was worse than that of individual brushes. Again, the kits are now too expensive. Of the more affordable brands I like brushes "L'Etoile". They produce them in Japan, I personally saw the Japanese who came to the presentation (although no one believes them, but brushes are good and are everywhere). I also like Real Techniques, I heard so many good reviews that without thinking I ordered almost everything that was there. Of course, I love all sorts of unusual brushes, but I do not think I can advise them. I have, for example, a wonderful SUQQU brush, but this is an expensive piece that needs to be ordered far away, so recommending it to everyone is not entirely correct. But from the basic brushes Real Techniques and L'Etoile are quite good (some do not differ from Bobbi Brown even after many, many washings).

Pro looks, commentators and blog

I sometimes wear 1-Day Acuvue Define "beauty lenses", they slightly increase the iris. The only thing I don’t really like about them is if I wear them all the time, “my” eyes seem small. With makeup too: we’re getting used to looking a certain way, and the natural data doesn’t seem to be very good. I rarely wear these lenses, with some special makeup or presentation, I don’t want to buy them every day. The only thing that made me sad was that the presentation focused on their femininity. A guy was sitting next to me who wears magnifying lenses all the time; I think it was necessary, on the contrary, to promote the idea that these lenses are good for men as well; in our society, they already cannot afford makeup. I think we have a lot of guys who want to make their appearance more interesting, but such an advertisement is likely to confuse them.

Lucky is not mine. As much as I love the care and makeup, so I am indifferent to lacquers. Sometimes I do not manicure for half a year. I like the fact that foreign bloggers don’t bother with their peeling nail polish, and we consider it terrible. I am interested in one thing, and the other is not interested, why should I be killed about this?

My commentators are kind. It is clear that in a few years everything happens on the Internet, but in general everything is OK, not like on YouTube. I have a type of psyche that is suitable for blogging, I am an extrovert and a public person. I am also quite confident in myself, so when they write to me that I, for example, have ugly eyebrows, I do not pay attention. I sometimes find it difficult to explain to a person that everyone has different tastes, and the way other people look should not affect others. I also have a pretty poppy appearance, especially nothing to complain about. At the same time, I don’t like the idea that a blogger should be nice - I love unusual looks when adult women blog. I have a very beautiful friend here, who, I think, would have made a great blog, but she says “well, no, a blogger should be young”. Well, what if you're not young, you need to die? Probably, it is worth more to talk about it, but I am too lazy - who needs it, and will understand.

About aromas

I was carried away by aromas later, than a make-up. Once, Masha Atchikova, Cosmopolitan Shopping editor, wrote a classification of lovers of fragrances in her LJ, I found myself there in the novice category - those who still don’t recognize vintage fragrances and cannot distinguish notes but cannot return to commercial smells. It is always difficult to talk about aromas, this is a very emotional sphere. I have some kind of a common vision: today I put on purple lipstick, put on a brutal decoration, a dark color and put on a fragrance, which in my view corresponds to all this. Sometimes, on the contrary, I want something not to emphasize, but to balance. When people ask me what flavors I like, I fall into a stupor, because I like a lot of things. For the most part I do not like flowers, bright tuberose, the rest in one way or another is normal for me.
