Bodypositive Lookbook Underwear Brand Laundry Service
EVERY DAY IN THE WORLD APPEAR BEAUTIFUL or impossible beautiful things, and you can look at some of them endlessly. Or at least a couple of minutes - to unload the brain, escape from the routine and let your eyes rest.
Georgina Johnson, a graduate of the London College of Fashion, came up with a very young brand that produces laconic underwear. The designer interned with the Dutch Viktor & Rolf, and, according to her, there she learned how to undertake even seemingly impossible tasks. The creator of the Laundry Service decided to follow the difficult path in terms of marketing and distribution. The result is a lookbook in which girls of African descent only, not like conventional models, were shot.
The Yellow Undertones collection, which includes multi-layered things of free and uneasy silhouettes, is demonstrated by girls without make-up and with natural hairstyles, while the photos themselves have done without heavy retouching. Such a campaign, deliberately moving away from glossy standards, is another precedent in the fashion world. Georgina Johnson says that empowerment comes first for her: she wants to set an example to other boys and girls of African descent who want to get into the world of big fashion. The way the minorities in the industry are portrayed still leaves a lot to be desired, but things are getting better: not all the black models are portrayed in sexualized images with an amendment to the conventional appearance.
