Difficult choices: Girls about finding your cosmetologist
Meeting with a good cosmetologist can radically change the attitude to care, reduce meaningless spending on inappropriate cosmetics and clean not only the pores, but also the soul. However, quite often visits to a specialist, to which not a desire to make friends with your skin, but problems that are no longer solved with the help of your favorite cream, led to the category of empty expenses. We asked several girls from different cities about what led them to the beautician's office, what mistakes to avoid and how it turned out to get the most out of the hikes.
The first time I turned to the services of a beautician in the thirteen years. To whom to go, no questions even arose. I lived in a small town where everyone knows about everyone, so it was easy to make inquiries. Puberty was in full swing, and the condition of the skin of the face left much to be desired. Unfortunately, at that age it was unrealistic to force me to follow all the recommendations (however, now it does not always work). I was prescribed a course of treatment, and I started to go to the salon regularly every 2-3 weeks. At that moment it seemed to me terribly adult and responsible. The most difficult was to follow a diet. For the rest of the appointments, the attitude was much more serious, though not for long. During this time I tried almost all the cosmetics for problematic skin. And the older I got, the more I felt how strongly I was recommended exactly by the company with which the contract is at the salon. In the end, I use the usual children's cream.
After I moved to Moscow and went to the salon unsuccessfully a couple of times, I started to just be afraid to go somewhere and for a while decided to completely give up on it. For me, it still remains a mystery how residents of large cities find good specialists. Now my attitude to cosmetology has changed a lot. I myself am already studying at senior courses at a medical university and I only go to familiar medical doctors. First, some recommendations now raise too many questions. Secondly, it is now ridiculous to listen about “marine collagen” and the like, and in general I have more confidence in qualified specialists.
My acquaintance with the world of cosmetology began five years ago, as soon as I reached the age of majority. Despite the large number of "proven" beauticians, sensible doctor, whom I can confidently entrust my beauty and health, I found only six months ago. Happiness did not last long, I moved to another city and now again in search of "the very one." Unfortunately, we had to deal with the careless, sometimes even monstrous, in my opinion, attitude of the so-called specialists. For example, during salicylic peeling (and chemical peeling, as you know, this is a controlled burn), the cosmetologist allowed herself to leave the office for twenty to twenty, Karl! - minutes. After that, there were serious consequences that I had to cope with alone: neither the cosmetician, nor the clinic management could not adequately comment on the situation and take responsibility for what had happened.
One of the cosmetologists prescribed oral contraceptives for me in the fight for beautiful skin, despite the fact that I didn’t have even moderate acne. Moreover, the appointment of OK was without testing, which is also a serious mistake. The following tips were also heard: “wipe your skin with chlorhexidine and alcohol,” “steam your face, wipe it with ice” —that with rosacea, which I inherited, is unacceptable. The benefit of a large amount of information on the Internet helps to reduce the number of errors in skin care. My combination skin requires regular cleaning (I prefer atraumatic) and good home care. Here I stopped at the acidic cosmeceuticals.
In my opinion, the beautician is obliged to collect anamnesis. If you have been prescribed any procedures without it, you are very much at risk. The specialist should have a higher specialized education, although now the presence of a diploma is also not a guarantee. Well, if you have the opportunity to contact a beautician after leaving the office: as a rule, questions arise about the condition of the skin. He should pick you up with home care, while providing an alternative in price and availability. For me, an important indicator is also the condition of the skin of the beautician himself, since “shoemaker without shoes” is a bad option.
I began to go to the beautician at about 13-14 years old when small skin problems began. It was not difficult to find my doctor, because I quickly found out through my friends exactly about the cosmetician I was visiting until now. Home care in accordance with the advice of a specialist has changed. If earlier I could just buy a foam for washing any famous brand in a pharmacy, now everything is different - and the effect is, of course, better. From the obligatory procedures I do the following: every day I wash with cream soap, put on a mask that tightens the pores, after the mask - a protective cream. In the evening after washing, I use camphor cream.
The first time I went to a beautician at the age of 24 - then I stopped taking oral contraceptives and I had skin problems for the first time since my teens. While taking hormonal preparations, the skin without any efforts was close to the state of "baby's ass" and remained so even with the approach of "I will wash you at least somehow and smear at least something." With the abolition of drugs the situation has changed dramatically. After one particularly long morning retouching of all the rashes on my face, I decided: stop this. It is worth saying that I did not particularly understand how the skin works and what are the causes of failures in its work. Therefore, I was guided by the principle "there is inflammation - it means that it has not been washed clean enough." From here, it was logical that the daily cleansing of the unfortunate face with scrubs followed, which naturally only aggravated the situation, since the skin was very dry.
I started looking for a beautician. Questioning friends did not give results, I did not want to go at random to the salons. Omitting the details, I can formulate the first rule of the fight club: do not go to cosmetologists who take in private offices. Maybe I was just unlucky, but once again I would not want to go through a two-week healing of facial wounds after a banal atraumatic cleaning. Add to this a ban on makeup for five days. There was no improvement after this procedure, which is not surprising - I was never told about the causes of skin problems. When I was asked about proper care, the beautician immediately said: “We need to buy professional products, I will give you a catalog of the brand I work with - buy from them.” This prospect somehow did not inspire me.
After the ill-fated first cleaning, I was afraid for a couple of months to even think about the next trip to the beautician. But somehow a picture of my friend appeared in an instagram tape in one of the cosmetology clinics of our city. Since the author of the photo's skin condition pleased me (yes, I know about the existence of Photoshop and filters, but this is not the case), I decided to try again. Frightened by the effect of the previous "atraumatic" cleansing, I signed up for an ultrasound in order to avoid severe damage to the face. After the procedure, I was told that before doing something more serious than ultrasound, the skin should be cured, and advised to leave it alone - as much as possible. Completely refuse scrubs, buy a hypoallergenic means of Physiogel, drink the course of Lactofiltrum and see what happens next month. A month later, I saw a skin with a sufficiently thin layer of powder instead of a half-hour tone, concealer, corrector, and so on. No, not perfect, but much cleaner.
Then there was another cleaning, already combined. I went to the procedure as a penal servitude, on Friday evening, in order to spend the next two days at home under a blanket. However, the makeup was recommended to refuse only for the next two hours after the procedure, and my face did not look at all terrifying. Finally, everything healed in five days, and since then, global skin problems have not returned. If you take a break between the cleanings for more than two and a half - three months, the situation, of course, worsens - but this is a great reminder that, in general, you should not postpone the visit. I no longer make any decisions about changing care and procedures - there is a doctor for this. The moral of this story is this: look for a good clinic and your doctor, and you will be happy and clear skin.
I went to a beautician to finally solve the problem of rashes on the face, having first figured out the main reason from the field of gynecology. I was looking for my doctor on the principle of word of mouth, reviews on the Internet seemed to me unreliable. I had an idea about cosmetological procedures before visiting a specialist, but after it became clear that when, where and why to prick, when to start or not to do it, and how to do without punctures, but keep a smooth face. In general, it is somehow premature to wait for magic from cosmetologists at the age of 24. All problems with inflammations on the face are usually associated either with gastrointestinal problems or with hormonal background. Therefore, I would advise everyone to start off by referring to a gastroenterologist, an endocrinologist and a gynecologist, and remove the cause, and then deal with the consequences on the face.
I believe that all come to the beautician with different goals. If someone has enough wit and time just to provide the necessary skin care, then okay. But as far as real problems are concerned, this is my story. From the age of twelve, my face was such that I hid it by hair. In search of the “only one” cosmetologist, I met different guys who completed some courses or promoted the miraculous cosmetics of the same brand. At sixteen years old (my self-esteem was already in the red, and my skin was no better), I found the specialist who really saved my future. It was not just a beautician - it was a doctor. Diet is not the first thing that I was prescribed. She sent me to take tests, to the endocrinologist, and so on - the process started.
A year later I did not have a single pimple. And the beautician took only 250 hryvnia from me (about 600 rubles. - Approx. Ed.) for cleaning and nothing for advice on care, diet, rashes, and so on. In general, I made the following conclusion for myself: a cosmetologist should be a guide from an external problem (face + acne) to an internal problem (in my case hormones). Well, if this is a doctor: so, most likely, you will cure not only the skin, but also solve an internal problem that may manifest itself in the future. Therefore, advice: look in the face of a cosmetologist doctor and a conscientious person. The main thing to remember: if the scrubs-creams did not help to completely get rid of, for example, from the rash, you may need to reconsider the diet or check your health. And even immediately run away from those who advise in no case use powder / foundation. This is not the first and not the third, from which your problems could arise, and an intelligent beautician should know this. Now I communicate with my cosmetologist "VKontakte" to my complete pleasure.
I started going to the beautician when problems with my face began. Gradually, new needs and desires began to appear: something to prick, refresh, and so on. It’s not so easy to find "your" cosmetologist, especially now, when there are so many of them. But here I was lucky, because my mother carefully monitors her appearance, and I just went to her experts. I use the services of three beauticians, two of them - from my mother, those that "for a year." They have a lot of experience and proper education, I’m not even sure if they post photos of their work anywhere. I both like them very much, but each has their own technique, their own materials, so I share them: to one, to prick something, to the other, to peels and masks. I found the third cosmetologist in Instagram - this is a girl with a bunch of clients and subscribers. I went to her once a little to pin up my lips: I needed a certain result, and I got it, in principle.
My home care has changed, I began to look for certain brands of products with a normal composition, suitable for my skin. I rarely make masks myself, I don’t need to remind me of washing. Well, there were funds at home for an emergency, if something unpleasant suddenly popped up on your face.
An experienced beautician in stock is always needed, my advice is that not one is better. What is very important, a good specialist with great experience can give a lot of recommendations on different procedures, even on those that he does not do. The doctor will advise what tests to pass and what can be checked. If you want to perform any surgical intervention, then such a beautician always has contact with surgeons, to whom you can go for a consultation on the recommendation - it is always calmer.
