About appearance and beauty

I believe that beauty is proportionality of oneself to one’s body. When nowhere is too tight, not great and you get into the idea of yourself. This is very few people succeed. For example, I recently recorded the first video for youtube, and then a week came to my senses: "God, am I really so buggy-eyed and nosy?"

If you take a camera and lime coil three films, then each person will have at least one frame, where he is terribly beautiful. Just traditionally attractive people know how to live in this one frame, while the others have a wider range. I do not know if I am beautiful or not - this question is not on my agenda. But, probably, so beautiful as in ten years, I don’t already consider myself. This is some kind of magical age full of contentment. My daughter will soon be ten, and she is also sincerely confident in her own perfection. But I think that both I and my girlfriend after thirty look much better than at twenty.

Then we were not interested in the outside, went to the "martins" and sweaters from the "Freak Thrace", made fun of all this philistinism, dreamed of becoming famous. After thirty, my friends understood and accepted themselves - I think it made their faces more expressive. Yes, and the money - what really - many to face. No matter how you come somewhere to visit, be sure to find a discussion of hyaluronic acid, facial massages, tongue scrapers or selective perfumery. You go to the office elevator and listen to the women discussing the implantation of the threads in themselves. Many, as in the song of Madonna, have a nanny, a psychoanalyst, a Pilates trainer, a brow master, a career counselor. I think it's cool that people are willing to invest in themselves so much.

I myself do not believe in today's popular injections - they give a one-time and non-cumulative effect. The future, apparently, for the lasers. Now they are still quite painful and expensive, but everything will change. I have so far managed to try the photorejuvenation with the BBL laser, but it is difficult for me to evaluate its effect, because these procedures coincided with my rethinking of skin care. I love the site Realself, where you can read thousands of reviews on any procedure and see the real "before" and "after."

About curly people

This fall, I started a telegram channel for the curly "So go." I do not tell anything new, all this is on American resources, but in English we still read depressingly little. Curly people, according to my calculations, in Russia is not less than 15%, but there is no market for goods and services for us. Most hairdressers do not know how to cut wavy hair, and the most important brands of care do not import. Long-known truths of curling care - do not comb, do not use shampoo with sulphates and conditioners with silicones, form locks with gel without alcohol, do not rub your head with a towel, dry with a diffuser, cut dry - we are in wonder.

If girls still communicate with each other and learn something, then it’s alarming for young people: they have little to do with nowhere to get information, so any interest in leaving is immediately stigmatized as something shameful. Charter to suffer, they either cut the curls at all, or shocked the public with a hair-pompon. I try to do enlightenment. My task is to increase the number of happy curly heads in Russia, so that we have a strong curly-community, as in the USA, and that the manufacturers of cosmetics consider us. My friends make fun of me, it seems like I am a "serious journalist", and I am engaged in such "nonsense." I do not think so: the hair greatly affects our idea of ourselves and if something regularly makes us unhappy, then we need to understand. I am not obsessed with shampoos and hair creams, as it may seem from the outside. Most of the time, I walk disheveled like Einstein. I have a research interest in banks.

It is hard for me to look at girls who straighten their curls - as for me, beauty is in its own way. Most Russian women, unfortunately, still choose averaged appearance from a commercial to like as many men as possible, and not to themselves. This is such an outdated strategy of reproductive success. Girls enter the name of a successful man in the search engine + the word "wife". So they learn what plastic surgery to do to successfully marry. Therefore, we have half the country walks with the appearance of the former wives of Timati. But they are hard to blame: in all countries with a low standard of living, they rely on men. But the problem is that if you marry a rich man or if you don’t, you’ll still have to answer the question: "But who am I myself?"

About the perfidy beauty industry

Since I had to understand the compositions of shampoos and conditioners, I have been terribly angry at the entire beauty industry: I have not met so much lies, deception and hypocrisy anywhere else - except in politics. Most of what is written on the banks and promise in advertising is so unbelievable that it’s unbelievable: hard surfactants are put in curly shampoos; in expensive hair oils, only silicones are called chemical destruction of hair. I came to the conclusion that this is a very cruel business, where everyone defends his own, and not your interests, so you can not trust anyone - just a list of ingredients. And in order to understand it yourself, you need to fumble around in organic chemistry and sit on PubMed.

I was helped out by the book Paula Begun "Don't go to cosmetics counter without me" - the first thirty pages completely changed my approach to care. I immediately threw out all my tubes from "Girlfriend" and bought money from the list of approved runner. She preaches the same approach as in a recent article in the New York Times: not just a single magic cream for five hundred dollars is important, but complex care and its consistency. In our country, people believe in miracles and instant transformation. This is used by all sorts of rogues, which remove Bisha’s lumps to women, poison us with formaldehyde and increase clients' hair stolen from the hindus. The problem is that people will have to face the long-term consequences of these miraculous procedures in a few years when there will be no one to answer. Do not believe in the promise of magic - believe in yourself, in science and progress.
