Thing: Girls are about favorite vintage shopping

Shopping in big vintage stores and second-hand shops - always a quest. In contrast to the mass market and mono-brands of expensive brands, it is often not necessary to rely on tidy rails with things (or full-fledged images) matched to each other. Therefore, it is especially pleasant to dexterously draw out "its" thing from the whole variety. We asked the girls who are seriously addicted to vintage, about their purchases with history.

The most expensive purchase of the heart is an old fur clutch-handbag. Found her by chance at a flea market in southern Russia. I wear it often: in the winter, you can hide your hands in it so as not to wear inconvenient gloves in modern life. In summer, I combine it with light dresses and costumes. I saw a similar thing only in the movie "Anna Karenina" by Jo Wright.

Since my wardrobe is almost entirely made of vintage items, it can be said that it also consists of small fragments of stories. Almost every thing is memorable, special.

Here, for example, is a sultan's dress of the end of the nineteenth century from Istanbul, or my favorite fluffy angora mittens from a charity shop, or a perfect million-dollar raincoat from the St. Petersburg “Fines”, which I bought for three kopecks. Recently, quite a touching story happened to me. A couple of weeks before the New Year, I went to get presents for my beloved Moscow "flea" in Novopodrezkovo. When I arrived, it turned out that the market was under threat of complete closure (since now it works again) - more precisely, at that moment the market itself was already closed, and grannies were pushing around the railway tracks. Things were laid out right in the snow.

There were very few people, there were no cool gifts at all. And suddenly I see a completely wonderful dress, everything I like in it: natural fabric, old, all in frills, with an emphasis on the waist - I could not even imagine what could be found on the Moscow flea. I tried to find out the price from my aunts, but they somehow reacted indifferently - I could not understand why no one wants to sell it to me. I was ready to pay any money for him when one kind granny came up and explained that, it turns out, I can take the dress completely free: in the morning some grandfather came, laid out things, left and never returned. I tried to leave the money to this woman, but she flatly refused - she said that the owner of the collapse is unlikely to appear. So I got my favorite summer dress, which, of course, was at first covered with terrible spots, but after careful cleaning and a couple of months in the closet it became the main outfit on a trip to Bangkok.

The long-liver of my wardrobe is a silk shirt, which I bought eight years ago in the London charity shop. This was my first trip abroad. I had a very small set of clothes with me to have enough space for purchases - as a result, I only bought a blouse and a coat. My coat spoiled the mole, and I still love my shirt and I often wear it. This is the ideal basic thing - I dream that I would like one hundred percent of the clothes in the closet as much.

All my vintage purchases are memorable. Firstly, almost everyone came from somewhere, secondly, I wear these things for years, so they are overgrown with stories. Before traveling abroad, I always look to see if there is a local Humana in the destination city, and I run there practically from the airport.

Choose one thing was very difficult! I decided to stop at the varsity jacket, a jacket that a girlfriend gave me about seven or eight years ago. In fact, she gave it to my husband (then still a boyfriend), but I took it to myself. She really belonged to a student named Jake Perkins (the name is drawn by a felt-tip pen on the Gap label), she has the perfect composition and fit, and she's super warm. I wear it all year round, even in summer in cool weather. Sometimes I think about how many goals the previous owner scored.

I love vintage for a long time, but only now I decided to launch my own project. I doubted for a long time, but very soon in Moscow there will be one more vintage store.

My favorite purchase is the light green fur coat of the Bolshevichka factory made of faux fur cut with waves. I accidentally found her in Moscow second-hand for seven hundred rubles - it looks like a million. This fur coat seemed to be waiting for me: so beautiful, the right size and color of my eyes. I wear it more often than any other outerwear: it is very warm and I look like a fish in it. And with the advent of this coat coincided with my rejection of the black color in the wardrobe. I think this is the most profitable acquisition of recent months.

Now half of my wardrobe is vintage, so it’s hard for me to choose one single thing. For me, vintage is not a way to stand out or find something tricky; My finds are quite ordinary, wearable things of excellent quality and with beautiful details that were obtained at an affordable price. Nevertheless, I still have my favorites.

The last thing dear to my heart is the leather vintage banana pants that I found in Berlin, making a purchase for the store. I spent several hours at the flea markets in search of a new range and as a result I could not part with the burgundy calfskin trousers - they perfectly sat on my figure. I try to always put the store in priority, not my preferences, but I could not refuse this thing.

This is not the most original item of my wardrobe, but at the same time, thanks to the universal cut and color, it is irreplaceable. Yes, in the mass market now there are quite similar models, but they repel a high price and the same style. I love these pants, because they are one of a kind and fit for any occasion: with sneakers and a coat for every day, with a shirt and heel - for a party.

More than my other vintage items, I love the impressive silver ring with turquoise that I bought at the flea market at Olimpiyskiy. Then I was just beginning to get involved in vintage and once in the winter I went to this market not so much to even buy something, but just to stare.

I remember it was very cold outside, I was looking for the right entrance for a long time, and when I finally got inside I was disappointed: the flea market turned out to be quite small, everything was somehow dubious and for immodest money. I walked in confusion here and there, until finally I saw this ring. In general, I really love semiprecious stones, and especially turquoise - in my childhood I had pure turquoise beads, with which I often played. And in this ring, the stone seemed to be unwell or a little out of itself: it is a pale blue with green and white spots, and also with a large black blot at the side - as if someone had negligently put ink into the water. Thing with character - I bought it immediately, without hesitation.

The ring is huge - the width and length of the phalanx, heavy and completely impractical, to print with such inconvenience. But I am very attached to him and sometimes I even put on at home - when I read a book, for example. I do not know how to explain it, I just like the way it looks on the arm. If I decide to put it on “in people,” then only he is made of jewelry from me - this is a jealous accessory and does not tolerate others near me. Often I put it on when I worry - weight appears in my hand immediately, and for some reason it calms me down a little.

Black dress Dorothy O'Hara, which we somehow rented for the heading "Wardrobe". Dorothy O'Hara - a dressmaker who wore half of Hollywood in the 1940s, her dresses were a kind of symbol of belonging to a party. Almost all the things she did in black - for all the time I saw only one dress with a blue-and-yellow print. Things O'Hara, loved for the fact that they are very well fit on the figure, despite the complex cut. Now they are rarely sold, on average, dollars for five hundred or eight hundred. I bought my own much cheaper - I was lucky. The vintage shop FabGabs, which I regularly checked, unexpectedly laid out a collection of one lady - she was in her youth, in the 40s and 50s, only Dorothy O'Hara and wore. The dresses were cool, though not in perfect condition, but I was not against it: the little faded spot at the hem did not bother me.

The dress I got somewhere for three hundred dollars. I wondered whether to take it - and, honestly, I took it right in the middle of a house party with my friends, after drinking for courage. I was worried that I didn’t get in - it was crepe, the waist was only sixty centimeters, nothing stretched, but my friends convinced me. It is, in fact, universal - this is the best black dress that I had. I put it on for an interview, for pitching my script (according to the script, they didn’t take anything off, but I looked cool), for pitching the concept and the first cover of the magazine, which I now head, for a small party of the publishing house, and generally not at all.

No one believes that he is almost eighty years old. This dress is self-sufficient, it has an incredibly beautiful drape on the chest. It looks best with black heels - but it was the case, I wore it and with black shoes on a heel more human, small and wide. I'm thinking of wearing everything with insane silver Miu Miu, which have been gathering dust in my wardrobe from 2015, but it’s not easy to stand in them for more than three hours.
