Trying herself in the modeling business of eighteen-year-old Lily McManemi was inspired by her mother Kristen, who at first, by the way, objected to such a choice of her daughter. But she could not forcibly restrain her, so they set off together for Paris Fashion Week this fall, Kristen even gave Lily some lessons. Officially, the girl became a model only a few days before the start of the shows, when in September she attached to Next.
Lily is no stranger to traveling the world: she herself is from Pennsylvania, her mother lives in London, and her father is from Tanzania, but she lives in Paris. It was there that she recovered in late September, skipping shows in other cities. There, Lily went to Yves Saint Lauren, and at the very end participated in the Chanel show. Despite the girl’s success, a lot of controversy sprung up in the open spaces of The Fashion Spot: can you call her a real model, has she won places in shows and even how often should she open her mouth in front of the camera. We will not be able to answer these questions, but we do know for sure what else we will hear about her, because now she is working with Edie Slimane in Los Angeles.
“I'm not sure that Lily can continue her career like me, she doesn’t have that drive. She is interested in too many things besides the modeling business,” Kristen McMenami shared with the British Elle.
