Healthy habits of the pharmacist Blessing Oieleke

IN RUBRIC "LIFESTYLE" we ask different people about healthy lifestyles with a human face: we talk about the importance of taking care of yourself and pleasant ways to make life more comfortable. The heroine of the new release is the pharmacist Blessing Oieleke.

Wellbeing - this is when I have enough sleep and rest.

I work in the quality control department pharmaceutical company - I follow the production of suture materials and other surgical equipment. My shift is from ten in the evening until six in the morning. Therefore, the morning begins at three o'clock in the afternoon: I drink a glass of water, look for something to eat and go to brush my teeth.

Perfect in that rhythm would be the next day: come home at seven in the morning, have breakfast and sleep until noon, then go to the gym, take a shower and have lunch. Sleep from about four to eight in the evening, walk to the train station, buy something for a snack and go to work. These days are very rare.

Course night schedule affects everything. I have been working like this for two years now, and my eating habits have completely changed. It is not clear when breakfast, and when dinner, I just eat, when I'm hungry - and as a result I recovered a little.

True, such work there are also advantages: long holidays, good insurance. If I get enough sleep and rest normally, I feel that you can live.

From physical activity in decent quantities I can only walk - on weekends I try to walk especially much. I'm also learning to ride a bike. I don't like training with weights.

From food I try to limit myself too fat and fried, and drink wine when I am in a mood. I can cook, but I do it only on weekends. Perhaps healthy eating is my main concern; it is completely incompatible with night work.

Sleep is the most important thing. If you compare the importance of sleep in the usual mode and in the last two years, with the night work schedule - then it has grown a hundred times, no less. I need at least seven hours, and sleep is difficult despite fatigue.

The difficulty is also in that that the human body is programmed to sleep in the dark, and not in the light of day - in the end, you just lie and suffer. But sometimes you can just endure this moment and get tired harder, then the next day you will sleep soundly: I have no insomnia twice in a row.

Best Health Tips - get enough sleep, walk whenever you can and try to eat right. At least try.

Age is numbers and probably experience. I am comfortable at my age, still full of energy, even for such a nocturnal lifestyle.

Holidays and weekends are holy. These are the moments when I try to disconnect as much as possible, and at the same time adjust the sleep mode to normal, nightly.

Over the weekend, I cook with my boyfriend, It helps to relax. We walk, go to different places, meet with loved ones. On Saturdays we always drink coffee in the same cafe - its atmosphere compensates for all the hassle of everyday life. And also good sex - for me the possibility of psychological relief.
