How to choose and apply blush: 26 excellent products for every taste

What are the blush
The largest and most popular category - powder blush, which is most convenient, of course, applied with a brush. Almost all modern means are finely ground enough that even a neophyte can easily cope with hues of any degree of brightness. Most often, powdery products have a light shimmer, so that the face is more prominent and beautifully reflects the light, but there are also tightly opaque shades, and very shiny, which can easily replace the highlighter.
Gel blush - a relatively liquid and light texture, which manufacturers often recommend to use also on the lips as tint. They are almost always translucent and are easily bleached with fingers or sponge. They are good in that they are slightly absorbed into the skin, therefore they look like a real blush.
Cream blush comes in sticks (they are sometimes designed for both cheeks and lips), less often - in classic packages. There are products like natural shades, and very bright, easy to blend and layered, they are convenient to carry around - the perfect thing for quick makeup. Can be applied with fingers, brush and sponge.
Cushions - the most fashionable form factor for three years: in the form of pads soaked in pigment, produce not only tonal tools, but also rouge, and even lipstick. It's really quite convenient: the Cushion chip is a dense coating, the degree of which can be varied, and at the same time - a natural effect. They are applied by the attached sponge.
What are different shades for?
Peach is the most versatile color for rouge: it is always refreshing, it never looks superfluous, it goes well with most of the makeup. The color can go beige or pink, but in all variants remains flattering for any skin tone. It looks especially luxurious on the cheekbones, but in general the ways of applying blush dictates fashion: the excellent video of the American Allure shows well how it has changed over the past hundred years.
Another universal color that exists in many variations. A shade that is rather foolishly called the “color of a dusty rose” will suit any make-up, and a cold pink eye pink itself can become an accent. If pink blush is applied to the apples of the cheeks, that is, to the place that usually reddens first from the cold, the face will look rounder and healthier, and if you shade the cheekbone to the temple, it will become more elongated. Pink blush does not happen much, and it is impossible to collect all shades, but we found some especially cool ones.
Blush as the main accent in make-up is a trend that has once again become fashionable a couple of years ago with dripping. Bright blush frightens many, but there is nothing to be afraid of: the noticeable color spots on the face, being well shaded, look fresh and harmonious. Another bright blush is well combined with the same fiery lipstick or wide arrows. If, however, you are not pulling at the doll cheeks, you can shade bright blush to a translucent hue: any good modern formula allows it.
Dark blush is the best way to draw a drama on your face, if you want it, but there is no time for Smokey to the eyebrows. Being inflicted on the protruding part of the cheekbones, they make the face more elongated and replace contouring - the facial contour immediately becomes like that of Maleficent. Look great with bright eye makeup, dark lipstick on their own.
Beige and brown blush are not exactly bronzers and sculptors, although they can sometimes be replaced. In brown blush, usually more pink, and although they can create the illusion of sunburn, they are applied a little differently - not on all the prominent parts of the face, but only on the upper cheeks (although, we repeat, no one can stop you from experimenting). Beige blush is perfect for nude makeup - they slightly simulate the shape of the face and do not catch the eye.
How to apply blush
In the packaging of powder blush often put brushes. In recent years, they have been made more decent - you can not throw it away immediately, as was customary to do ten years ago, but to use it if you need to correct makeup, for example, on the road. Nevertheless, for permanent home use, it is better to acquire at least a few good brushes: the quality of the tool depends on how the rouge lies and blends. For cream blush, you can use the same brushes (or take the “tongues” with which you usually apply tonal means), or you can use sponge.
