In general, Palma is a well-kept city, which greatly decorates it: the shady alleys of plane trees, the elegant tables of coffee shops on the street, where you can safely drink coffee alone. The island state in the Indian Ocean, consisting of more than a thousand small islands - travel agencies like to call it "tropical paradise", "bounty" and other sweetish names. If you have never tried snorkeling, then this is the best place to start, even near the coast there will be something to see. For the more determined there is diving - scuba diving. The only drawback is high ticket prices and long flights, but there's nothing you can do.
This option is rarely chosen for single trips, but in vain. Not all of the California coast is suitable for a beach holiday, but the part that fits the task is actually very convenient. Probably the most "Americanized" resort of all located between South and North America. It’s a great option if you don’t want to fly for a long time and pay dearly. This small island in the Aegean Sea happily escaped mass tourism, despite the fact that the infrastructure there is at the level. You can stay at the hotel (there is enough of them here), and you can also stay in the old house of some picturesque village - there are many small private hotels on Lemnos.
The island has pleasant and even in high season not too crowded beaches, fairly good restaurants, aimed not purely at tourists, but also at local people too, and around - the Aegean Sea with an incredible color of water. The island has preserved the ancient buildings of civilizations that visited Lemnos, so the beach holiday is easy to diversify. Island cities, that is very compact, so that you will not need to wander endlessly around the sights. If you want purely beach relaxation, it is better to plan a trip closer to May when the tourist season begins: in early spring the island is still cool.
Finally - the most distant option: Gold Coast, Australia's Golden Coast, located near Brisbane. Gold Coast has earned its nickname: perfectly well-maintained, calm, and crime here is minimal. There are areas for every taste: luxurious and respectable, fun (they are especially loved by surfers, who are many in this part of Australia) or quiet and family, where no one will disturb you.
Nearby are two relatively large cities - the Gold Coast and Brisbane of the same name, both quite young, like most of the points in Australia. It is easy to get there by convenient local public transport - shopping or a concert. Also along the coast there are natural parks, a sea of entertainment and even more places for outdoor activities - from peaceful snorkeling to surfing. It is warm here all year round, the coldest month is July, when the temperature drops "only" to twenty degrees.
