To whom to subscribe: Hannah Hill and her feminist embroidery

Embroidery is a traditional "feminine" art that was not taken seriously for a long time, until the artists saw in it feminist potential. London student Hannah Hill, who leads the @hanecdote instagram, shares this idea - she became famous because she embroidered the meme “Arthur's fist” (shot from the cartoon “Arthur”), turning it into a serious statement. Hannah says she was interested in the ideas of feminism when she studied the history of embroidery and its place in art.
Each of Hannah’s embroidery requires effort and time, so the photos of new works appear in her instagram not so often - but she documents in detail the process of their creation. In addition, in Hannah's instagram you can find honest selfies, with the help of which she learns to love and accept herself, as well as the most common pictures - for example, a photo of her cat.
