It is hard to believe that Kathrin Kruger was born and raised in South Africa. A native of Cape Town, who is very proud of his origin, in less than a year she managed to act for two Prada campaigns and make several dozen shows. Catherine’s story resembles thousands of others: a local agency scout spotted Catherine in a supermarket and offered her a job. Deciding to try her luck, she attached herself to Y Models in her hometown.
After a while, the girl was waiting for her first serious work - she became one of the faces of the book and the collection of the Prada Resort 2012 collection. This shooting helped start a career for several models, and Catherine was no exception. Having signed a contract with IMG in Paris, she went to shows of SS 2012 in France, where she received an exclusive show on Givenchy. The successful debut at that time with six-year-old Katrin was even noted by Gisele Bundchen. After participating in the Calvin Klein presentation, the model was shot for a number of South African magazines: for two months in a row, she appeared on the pages of Marie Claire and made the cover for Elle. In December, the list of participants in the Prada spring-summer campaign was announced, including Catherine. After that, the agency boldly sent her to the couture shows, where the girl went to Giambattista Valli, Elie Saab, Valentino and other shows.
The recent Fashion Weeks were crowned with success. In New York, Catherine closed Derek Lam and Jason Wu, in London - Acne, in Milan - Marni and opened Missoni, and in Paris she made all the most enviable shows from Chloe and Givenchy to Louis Vuitton and Valentino. In total, she walked to 39 shows, making her one of the top ten newcomers, according to Models.com.
