Video of the day: Gucci film "The Future is Fluid"
EVERY DAY ON THE INTERNET SOMETHING IS GOING ON: someone releases clips, someone launches hashtags, someone says smart (or not so) things - and we focus on the most curious.
At the Sundance Festival last winter, director Jade Jackman presented the short film "The Future is Fluid", shot in collaboration with Gucci. The plot focuses on the stories of thirteen people who tell what gender means to them and how the idea of its expression has changed in recent years. Someone chooses a bright make-up, someone has unusual clothes, but all heroes are united by the search for identity and the struggle for their rights.
The seven-minute video was filmed as part of the “Chime for Change” campaign aimed at achieving gender equality. It was launched by Gucci creative director Alessandro Michele in 2013, when Beyonce and Salma Hayek joined the initiative. “A more flexible approach to the topic of gender would allow people to truly explore and experience their true self, because I think that many people really do not know what it is,” the film’s press release says.
