What to buy in spring: 10 new wardrobe hits

EVERY SEASON we talk about thingsthat you can add to your wardrobe. Ahead of us is the changeable spring weather, the first parties in the open air, forays into nature and long walks. Designers took care of us in advance and presented hundreds of potential wardrobe hits for all occasions. We chose ten of them - those that you will definitely come in handy in the next three months.

Polo

Subcultural wardrobe item that burst onto the catwalks and pages of fashion magazines. This spring polo appeared everywhere - they are remembered by Alexander Wang and Gucci, and Zara produces a model with a recognizable collar and short sleeves in a dozen shades. The classic version can still be found in Fred Perry, and worn instead of a shirt and a blouse with a narrow midi skirt in a large cell or office trousers and a trench coat.

Straw things

Straw accessories again became popular last summer. This spring, bags, clutches and backpacks from the "straw" can be found in the mass market, as well as at expensive brands. Away outdated connotations - wearing a light basket with a ribbon is not forbidden, even when paired with a woolen coat; in the end, that's exactly what Jane Birkin did. In addition to the classic bags and models in vintage style, it is worth looking at spacious hard shoppers and bags made of painted material.

Cargo pants

The course on comfort makes designers increasingly seek inspiration for working uniforms and functional wardrobe items. So, again models in cargo pants came out on the podiums (we already saw something similar at the turn of the 90s and 2000s). Thanks to the roomy pockets, you can forget about the bag; Plus, the cargo is easily combined with blouses and sweatshirts, cropped tops with puff sleeves (another hit of this spring) and any shoes - whether they are Cossacks, massive lace-up boots or satin mules.

Blouse with puff sleeves

Blouses with puffed puff sleeves were loved by designers for a light theatrical effect - and became an addition to training pants, wide culottes and sundresses made from velveteen. If you do not plan to cosplay Ekaterina Medici or Elizabeth Tudor, we advise you to recall the narrow leather midi skirts, knit pants and relaxed shoes like fur slippers or mules on a steady heel. At the same time, retro puffet puffs will not argue with futuristic things like narrow leggings shorts (which Kim Kardashian especially loves) or vinyl skinny.

Pearls

In place of the hoop earrings and geometric cuffs, pearl jewelery has come, both natural and artificial. Coco Chanel's words that pearls are always right, in 2018, designers took it literally: they suggest wearing rings, massive pendants, large earrings and cuffs with this mineral with a ski jacket and a pair of hikers, and tuxedo dress and jackboots. Neat brooches with pearls will be a great decoration for outerwear, which often lacks a bright accent in winter.

Scarlet and pink

The combination of similar colors, which your mother probably wouldn’t have liked fifteen years ago, is in fashion today - as Tibi, Dolce & Gabbana, Staud and other designers think. Those who do not know how to approach an unusual combination of colors, we advise you to start small: for example, with a scarlet top bando decorated with a fringe of fuchsia color, or a burgundy midi dress with a marsala sleeve. The rule works in the opposite direction: nothing prevents you from combining pink accessories with a red trench coat or trousers.

Very narrow glasses

It seems that everything has already been said about futuristic narrow rims, but the fact remains: tiny glasses are one of the obvious trends of this year. The most prominent model was released by the brand George Keburia - Gigi Hadid, Solange and Leandra Medin were already noted in it. To be limited to them is not necessary at all: Topshop, Zara, Le Specs, Mango, Balenciaga, Urban Outfitters and others have released their versions. Of course, a suitable frame can be found in the mass market in the shopping center closest to the house, but only professional optics brands can guarantee serious protection from the sun.

Making friends trendy glasses with the rest of the wardrobe will not be difficult. Paired with a midi dress with an emphasis on the waist and a woven bag, the frame will create a retro look, and a leather raincoat or jacket with voluminous shoulders will add audacity to the 90s.

White suit

The trend, which is better to remember closer to April. Today, for the safety of a white suit, you will have to fight with a stain remover, cleaning wipes and a wet brush, but when slush and dullness recede, cream trousers and a jacket will have every chance of becoming the main outfit. Those who are confused by the need for regular dry cleaning, we advise you to think about things of pearl color or models with a small longitudinal strip. As usual, there is an image to your liking in the nearest mass market, but until the winter sales are over, it makes sense to look at the brands more expensive: the quality of the fabric and the service life of them are much higher.

Fringe and feathers on clothes

In place of sequins and Lyurex came things richly decorated with feathers and a long fringe. Denim with wide ribbons or dress, trimmed with contrasting threads - things for music festivals, whose time is just around the corner. Inserts of feathers look more delicate and today even decorate pajamas (those on the way out) and cocktail dresses. We offer to combine elegant clothes with rough denim, cargo pants and sports suits.

Bag in bag

It all started with the Vetements, who released a clutch bag, securely packed in a bag. Following Demna Gvasalia, others have also released their double-volume versions - today, a model for every taste and budget can be found in the online multi-brand and mass-market. We advise you to take a closer look at combo bags made of leather, plastic and thick fabric - the most successful version turned out at Trademark. Budget versions, as usual, can be found in Zara, Topshop and Mango. As in the case of straw accessories, seasonal binding fades into the background: a transparent clutch with mesh inserts will look great with a voluminous down jacket and a trench when the weather outside the window becomes merciful.
