Anastasia Pryadkova
architect and makeup artist
I think the right makeup is the one I like right now.
About visage and architecture
I chose a hobby unexpectedly for myself: I can’t say that I loved makeup since childhood and wanted to be a makeup artist. I studied at the architect, recently received a higher education and work by profession. And it all started with make-up, no matter how trite, with instagram. At first I laid out my drawings, and later I found that you could plunge into a sea of other creativity. It seems that the first post with a make-up that hooked me, I saw from Gevorg, I learned from him about the studio Chilly Dash - and it started. At first I came there as a model, it was interesting for me to see my face differently. Once I visited an open lesson on make-up and realized that it was interesting for me to paint not only myself, but also other people. So I studied at Chilly Dash and became a makeup artist - although, of course, the training will last for a long time.
Architecture and make-up have more in common than it might seem at first glance. And in fact, and in another matter, everything is built on the interrelation of textures and forms: if in make-up it is cream shading and feathering, in architecture it is, for example, paint and tile. It is important for me to look for harmony, to follow the proportions - the imbalance instantly catches the eye.
About care
Care for me is not a topic for the patient, but I have atopic dermatitis, with which I have had a difficult relationship since childhood. For a long time I couldn’t even remember the word “atopic” - I probably didn’t want to accept that I was different from those around me. I remember that I almost did not care for the skin at school and at the institute, although I had mild acne on my face and dryness all over my body. In my case, exacerbation of atopic dermatitis provokes stress, not food or weather conditions. When I passed the winter session in the second year, my condition worsened so much that I could not squeeze my hand into a fist and unclench it - my skin itched and cracked. I realized that it was time to do something, and went to the doctor. I was prescribed an ointment, and from that moment I began to take a closer look at myself. Oddly enough, atopy helped me realize that I was alone in myself and that I should treat myself carefully.
Most of the time, I use two remedies: I have a base lotion for each day, and during the cold season I add a nourishing cream that I apply overnight. Sometimes I apply special ointments on specific areas. This is enough to make the skin feel good, the main thing is to choose neutral products with a simple composition and without fragrances. Another discovery was hydrophilic oil: it perfectly washes away lasting makeup, which I wear almost every day, and does not dry the skin. For washing I choose soft skins (I buy different ones in search of the best options) and a couple of times a week I use peeling. I have no unimaginable mountain of caring cosmetics, I just don’t need it.
About make-up
I never repeat the same make-up, use different techniques and techniques. I love to mix tonal foundations, lipstick and anything else. Makeups may be similar, but I come up with interesting textures for them, trying to find something new. I do not have permanent makeup for every day or makeup for a date, I honestly never understood this approach. Perhaps my only everyday makeup - the lack of makeup.
I don't really like the "perfect" multi-layer make-up. Previously, it seemed to me that exemplary makeup was slightly pink lips and nude shadows, but I did not perceive other combinations, I thought that to combine bright colors is vulgar. Now I can easily imagine how to harmoniously combine the blue shadows and pink lipstick. I think that the right makeup is the one I like right now and gets in the mood. I believe that the makeup artist should not forget about the technical rules, but everything else can be broken. No need to look at bloggers, trends and colleagues. Because if you do not go beyond these limits and challenge yourself, you are unlikely to go further.
