Fantastic women in space

Today is an important date not only for the history of world cosmonautics: 29 years ago a woman first entered the space. On July 25, 1984, Svetlana Savitskaya and the captain of the ship, Vladimir Dzhanibekov, came out of the Salyut-7 orbital station into the airless space to test the electron beam gun for welding and cutting materials in space. Outside the ship, they spent three and a half hours. In 1993, Svetlana Evgenievna retired and ended her career in the chair of the Communist Party deputy.

We cannot but remember other beautiful women from space, who, it is true, have never really been there:

Sergeant Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) in "Alien"

About the image of Ripley and psychological motifs in different parts of the "Alien" written more than one scientific dissertation. Sigourney Weaver, in the role of a woman confronting an alien creature in a confined space, managed to be the image of a mother, a feminist, and the beloved of the xenomorph himself.

Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher) in Star Wars

The rebel leader, sister of Luke Skywalker (oops, did they all look?) And the object of desire of Han Solo. One of the first cosmic women that most people saw in their lives now inhabit our planet. An icon of style, in the end: we loved her forever in a white sectarian-futuristic dress, with hair-donut and with a blaster in our hands, even if we saw her almost as a naked female warrior in mini-armor.

Barbarella (Jane Fonda) at Barbarella

The hottest space girl comes from comics, with the face of Jane Fonda and directed by Roger Vadim (the director, who has always been better at marrying beauties than movies). Barbarella is a freelance goodwill ambassador sent by the party in search of the scientist Duran Duran. In principle, any words are superfluous.

Elizabeth Shaw (Numi Rapas) in "Prometheus"

The archaeologist and the voice of reason in the film and the second woman on our list who ran into Alien. Although Ridley Scott insists that Prometheus is not the Alien's prequel, but a completely independent film, we believe that from Elizabeth Shaw will grow up a worthy heir to Sergeant Ripley. All the makings of a psychological trauma and independence she already has.

River Tam (Summer Glau) in Firefly and Serenity Mission

The most wonderful member of the crew of Serenity, a telepath girl over whom the government has experimented, has practically driven her crazy and is now hunting for River to continue the experiments. Favorite character of all guys-geeks - barefoot, mysterious and very touching. We like her for her gift to predict the future, which the Serenity crew saved many times.
