Day's Hashtag: Killed by Gossips - Human Rights Defenders Against Violence

EVERY DAY ON THE INTERNET: someone releases clips, someone launches hashtags, and someone says smart (or not so) things - and we focus on the most important or just curious.

The project "Legal Initiative" prepared a report on the killings of women in Dagestan, Ingushetia and Chechnya on the grounds of "honor." Most often, they are associated with the deliberate killing of girls and women because of the suspicion of "misconduct" that violated the customs of morality and intersexual relations, which are permitted by tradition.

In the course of the study, the organization was able to establish that only in 42% of cases, those responsible for the murder were punished by a court sentence. For sixteen days, human rights activists promise to publish under the hashtag #Shocked stories of women who were killed at the hands of their male relatives under the murder.
