IN RUBRIC "IN BOOKMARKS" We talk about websites and online services - both useful and completely useless, but funny and amazing - which, in fact, should be added to favorites or added to the RSS-feed.

Open

Yesterday the site “Opened” was launched - a Russian zine about queer culture and the LGBT community. It is intended both for representatives of the LGBT community, and for anyone who wants to learn more about queer culture: now, for example, you can find a photo project about Moscow queer couples, a guide to lesbian sex and personal experience of the movement’s co-founder human rights "and the project of Queer Peace Kira Fedorov about how he stopped being ashamed of his own homosexuality.

Above the site are Sasha Kazantsev (the host of the TV channel “Washed hands” and the author of Wonderzine), Dima Kozachenko (former news editor of Poster Daily), Dasha Globina (photographer), Sveta Durba (author of Poster Daily). "The LGBT materials that we read in the Russian-language media are most often associated with rights violations and hate crimes. Unfortunately, this is indeed a noticeable part of our reality, and writing about it is invaluable. But we want the information background LGBT people living with us in the same country were not only difficult. The goal of the “Open” is to show how people of different identities create their own “safe space” in conditions of public rejection, ”say the creators of the site.

The project exists on donations, you can support it here.
