Olga Samodumova, founder of the Peremotka vintage project
We recently toldwhat is vintage, how it differs from second-hand and how things are with it in Russia, and also listed 10 rules for dealing with vintage now. It is impossible not to notice that over the past two years a dozen vintage projects have appeared of completely different formats - from online stores to studios, where they come from personal recordings, and showrooms. Many of them take part in the Lambada market specializing in vintage (and not only), the new season of which will take place this weekend, December 21 and 22, in the Tsvetnoy department store. We asked several of them about what is happening with the vintage in Moscow, why they like things from past eras and how to wear them in 2013.

We have already understood that with the improvement of the environment, people are beginning to change for the better.
I have not yet followed the development of vintage Moscow shops. But I notice a new phenomenon - Instagram stores selling vintage jewelry. The only ones I like in the real world are my neighbors, Oldich Dress & Drink. This is a beautiful store where beautiful people work. My Peremotka is not a shop and not a showroom in its classical sense, but a studio where you can come by appointment, and I personally accept guests. I collect collections on certain topics: now, for example, this is a collection of evening dresses and accessories for them, the next time I can be inspired by the 60s or 90s. This is my principle of purchase.
Clothing is a part of culture. We already understood that with the improvement of the environment, people are beginning to change for the better, Strelka is talking about this. Look at Gorky Park: what a wonderful youth, it turns out, lived in the city! Previously, there was simply no place for her to gather. All the same with clothes: the appearance changes the inside. What can be said about the recycling of clothing from which nature suffers - vintage here wins with its environmental friendliness. Vintage is not subject to change of trends, it is not divided into seasons, it is not in fashion and does not come out of it - isn’t it nice to feel free and independent of the dominance of globalization and unification?
The main thing - do not relate to the vintage as something special. This is just another beautiful thing. Wear them calmly and feel beautiful and unique. I look for such things - beautiful, there is no other principle, the collection is my subjective view on femininity and elegance. I do not dwell on brands and brands, although, of course, I also have such works of art. I think there are no rules for wearing vintage: even a vintage total bow may look cool, but this requires some experience or advice from a person you trust.
