Jewelry in the form of destroyed columns Completed Works

IN THE WEEKLY RUBRIC "NEW MARK"Wonderzine presents young designers and tells where and how you can buy their things. Our heroes this week are Anna and Mark Djusbury, who launched the brand Completed Works.

We continue to discover young jewelry designers. Not so long ago, Wonderzine talked about the Dane Vayb Harslof, which creates rings and necklaces of fancy shapes. Another brand, Completed Works, specializes in gold and silver jewelry with the addition of marble and jade. It was created by brother and sister Mark and Anna Juusbury. The first is engaged in business, the second, with the formation of a philosopher and mathematics, is a creative director. Now they have one collection called Pillar. It is inspired by ancient ruined architecture, as evidenced by forms resembling broken columns, and the actual use of gray and black stone.

Anna and Mark did not receive special education and did not work in fashion, but the guys believe that it is sufficient to observe closely what is happening around them in order to sort out any business. Their Completed Works appeared six months ago, but already won the love of the press, for example AnOther. Now Djusbury, who has her own online store and sales through photographer Nick Knight's SHOWstudio site, focuses on a second collection and building a business.

We didn’t want to decorate, but we were interested in history and literature and thought about how to pour out these interests. So we came up with a brand of jewelry. The language of jewelry allows us to naturally develop our love for history and literature, and besides, we are doing something small and intimate. Now we are inspired by the decay of civilizations and the division of history into different periods, and we are thinking how to convey this in decorations. I want to create things that relate to the real world, in which it will be convenient and pleasant. I like the fact that our business allows us to combine several disciplines: we are simultaneously engaged in architecture, photography, and our favorite history and literature.
