Stylist Maria Zhukova about favorite outfits

FOR RUBBER "WARDROBE" we take pictures of beautiful, original or strangely dressed people in their favorite things and ask them to tell stories related to them. This week, our heroine is Maria Zhukova, a stylist and co-founder of the MOCH FASHN project.

I don’t remember when I started to be interested in fashion. I only remember that at school I composed and sketched various images from my clothes. Probably, this is the influence of the mother, she always dressed very stylishly and sewed stunning outfits. Having matured and tried the most unexpected variations, I came to the most comfortable style for me.

I like textured and laconic things, I love to combine classic fit with crazy futuristic details. I always wear jackets - I have a lot of them. In no case do I divide my wardrobe into casual and “on the way out”; any image can be made of my clothes. In the mornings I learned how to dress on a machine so that I could look out of place during the day and be bright in the evening. I practically do not pay attention to the brand and buy things wherever possible: from the Central Department Store and various showrooms to vintage stores and flea market. I do not like online shopping - I like to touch and try on.

Trousers and shoes came to me unexpectedly. I was looking for high black shoes, waving off numerous tips to buy Dr. Martens, in parallel thinking that it would be nice to get tight trousers with arrows. And here he writes a good friend Roma, who does not know about my search, they say, there is something about you. Klatch was presented by mom, she bought it even during the Soviet Union in the Indian bazaar.

Vintage jacket, Zara skirt, Carven belt, ankle boots of your own design

I saw this jacket a little strange cut and breathtakingly scarlet and immediately understood - mine. Ankle boots repainted from spray cans, inspired by the painters who flaunted in the splattered paint overalls under my window. I liked the result so much that at some point all the shoes and upper leather clothing that was not sorry for “spoiling” became white and cracked.

Koshuha from "TSUM-Discount", I gave her a birthday present. I don rarely, but neatly; perhaps the only thing in the wardrobe that combines little. She took the top of an unexpectedly pleasant fabric on the set and did not want to return it.

Own design jacket, vintage jeans

Stunning denim jeans were bought by mom when she was studying in Gnesinsky. The braid is my acrylic masterpiece, I put it on mainly at events and exhibitions of familiar artists.
