Comedy Club CEO apologized for the sketch about a sex worker from Ingushetia
On December 8, on the TNT channel, the Comedy Woman program showed a sketch about the escort service, where the owner of the agency reports off a sex worker from Ingushetia. Many viewers thought that the video insulted Caucasian girls and Ingush people, and the authors of the program began to receive threats and insults.
On December 10, the company Comedy Club Production published a formal apology, where it stated that "the number was created solely for the sake of humor and without implication of national discrimination." "We also want to note that Ekaterina Skulkina is an actress who only plays the role created for her by the group, and Comedy Club Production itself is multinational and respectful to all of its viewers, regardless of their race, nationality or religion," said Comedy Club. Actress Ekaterina Skulkina, who performed one of the roles in the sketch, apologized separately.
On December 11, Andrey Levin, CEO of Comedy Club Production, met Alikhan Tsechoyev, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Ingushetia, and apologized for the sketch in person. Tsechoyev thanked him for the prompt settlement of the issue and said that he had already reported on the situation to the head of Ingushetia, Yunus-Bek Yevkurov. According to the Permanent Representative, the representative office of the republic is working to prevent "illegal actions and threats" from the Ingush community.
On the evening of December 11, TNT reported an attempt to attack the channel’s office (the note has now been removed): according to TNT representatives, “50 people of Caucasian nationality” tried to break into the editorial office, after which they called riot police.
