PR manager Nailya Aslanova about the industry and favorite cosmetics

For "Available" we study the contents of beauty cases, dressing tables and cosmetic bags of interesting characters to us - and we show all this to you.

About work in the beauty industry

How many can remember, always passionately loved cosmetics. In general, I often joke that my mother kept me in L'Etoile for half the childhood, choosing another lipstick for herself - and this did not pass without a trace. Now everything, of course, has changed, and my interest in the beauty industry is professional: for the fifth year I have been working in digital marketing and doing PR in a cosmetics company. I always follow new foreign brands, I definitely go to stores and salons in different price categories - I call it beauty-hunting. Most of all I like to follow innovations. The industry is changing qualitatively: now you can lighten your hair with little or no consequences, use texturizing styling that does not glue and does not weigh down your hairstyle, and the foundation really lasts all day.

I love the American beauty market - there is fierce competition in it, which, of course, sets the tone for brands. Sephora in the USA is a real paradise for fashion gorgeous, and there are still many niche brands that everyone can find interesting. Asian products are quite specific, and their creators often surprise with non-standard approach. I really don’t have much to do, since the products are made primarily for girls with thick and thick hair, and care for the face brightens the skin. What is surprising, I do not suffer from things and distribute extra shadows, creams and blush to my friends. I believe that a cluttered house is equal to cluttered thoughts.

About caring for yourself

I work a lot and fly often, so over the past couple of years my cosmetic priorities have changed a lot. I less crash, preferring sleep: no highlighter will not help to hide the exhausted look. I know for sure that consistency is important in self-care, but unfortunately I am far from perfect in this. Over the past year I have become more time and attention to the care of the skin - I like it when you do not need to gloss over something. I love products with a visible effect: after active sera and acid tonics, life is divided into “before” and “after”.

I reviewed my expenses in the "beauty" column. When buying a hundredth nail polish or lip gloss, I would prefer a two-hour full-body massage from Kata in a authentica club (back will thank you). I also love yoga very much - again, for a person with a sedentary lifestyle, this is a real salvation. Especially, I would advise it to those who lead an active lifestyle and literally can not stop and relax - yoga really "grounds" and soothes me. Separately, I note the manicure - I love well-groomed hands. I'm not a big fan of resistant coatings, the neat cuticle and the shape of the nails are more important to me, so I try to go for a manicure once a week.

About self-love

I really appreciate what the beauty industry gives: I have often seen wings grow from the shade of lipstick or new haircut, and self-confidence would wake up. However, in the meantime, to make yourself nice, and in order to adjust yourself to the patterns, there is a fine line. By the nature of my work, I communicate a lot with famous girls - even being popular and conventionally beautiful, many of them are not confident and dissatisfied with their appearance. I admit, it really upsets me. For myself, I decided that first of all it is necessary to solve problems in my head, without this no plastic or a ton of makeup will help. I also urge you to tell your friends and family that you love them: sometimes these simple words solve a lot.
