Designer Kuraga Elizaveta Sukhinina about favorite outfits
FOR RUBBER "WARDROBE" we take pictures of beautiful, original or strangely dressed people in their favorite things and ask them to tell related stories. This week our heroine is Elizaveta Sukhinina, designer of the brand Kuraga.
The greatest influence on my style had a move to London a few years ago. More precisely, this move was the impetus for the rejection of the pursuit of fashion, to acquire their own, more relaxed style, based on inspiration from the city and people, rather than trends from shows. In general, London, in my opinion, is the most interesting fashion capital compared to others, where everything is quite predictable and you initially expect people to have a certain manner in clothing and style. It is so eclectic and interesting that you unwittingly absorb new knowledge and find inspiration in seemingly familiar things.
In the same place, love happened in summer and in winter to run in shoes on a bare foot and with open ankles, which is why every time the grandmother clutches at her heart. I think it is possible to spend big money only on shoes, my love for bags has somehow become so cold, and I really have a lot of mass market out of clothes, which is not a pity to distribute or throw out after a couple of seasons. Now, a lot of my own has started to appear, so I spend less time on shopping trips - which I am very pleased about.
Whistles parka, sweatshirt with your name Caps Lock Shop, Zara shorts, adidas sneakers
The park has become one of the last investments in London. I bought gritting teeth, because the course was already over a hundred. But now I'm not getting out of it, either in winter or in summer. When it's cold, I take out a podstecke from a white curly and heavily voluminous sheep, it looks ridiculous, but I call it "stylish." The usual black sweatshirt with the name on the back is a gift from a close friend, has already collected a lot of dating stories with tackles in the style of "is this so that after Klava you can remember your name?". Every time I put on and think: "What the unexpected will happen to me this time?"
COS t-shirt, suit (pants and top) - own design, M2Malletier bag, Zara shoes
I went to the January holidays for a sale in Zara and pulled out some cool things, special love - these shoes. The whole regiment was filled up only with them - I still do not understand why they were not bought up. Maybe it's in their strongly "grandmother's" form. The costume was generally born by chance. Initially, I bought myself a piece of fabric for pants (by the way, I really like to wear such classic pants in an “unexpected” combination with sneakers and huge sweaters), and the rest was enough for a mini-vest - do not lose the good. Orange strip dilutes the severity and adds mischief.
Zara skirt, father’s sweater, Balenciaga shoes, vintage brooches
As I said, I really like to wear men's things - I buy it myself, I drag it from my father and friends, I keep it as a memory of the former. This sweater is often at war with mom, it is incredibly pleasant, and I like its faded and worn shade of yarn. Balenciaga shoes, which no one has ever seen that warms the soul, unlike other popular shoes. Although it may be the case again in their slightly strange form. I love brooches very much, especially vintage ones, one from some reseller, the other from the flea market in Germany.
Uniqlo turtleneck, Kuraga dress, Zara jacket, Prada bag, adidas sneakers
The bag is an unexpected birthday present and a perfect hit on target in style and even color, surprisingly. Now she dilutes my style “just like a funeral” and love for completely black looks. I fell in love with silk velvet for dresses even when ordering fabric, they quickly sold out so quickly that I barely managed to keep one for myself. It is very comfortable and, most importantly, universal for the day and evening, as I like. I want to believe that I will come up with an even more perfect and functional combination dress.
Zara jeans, Zara shirt, Oysho top, H & M x Isabel Marant jacket
Images of the 70s - one of my favorites. I like to add some visible elements of this trend to the usual appearance - everything changes a lot. These jeans do not give rest even to the stylists on the set, but it is inconvenient for me to upset people that I dug up these perfect jeans on one of the Zara sales.
Jacket - the acquisition of the times of my first and last trip to the hip H & M, which was actually quite quiet. The line in London consisted mainly of Chinese and Japanese, everything was organized and calm. At the moments of the rest of the collaborations, I always found myself in Moscow, and the question "go or not?" fell away by itself.
Shirt and top Kuraga, pants Uterqüe, shoes Miu Miu
She pulled out her shoes at a sale at TsUM - she was following a particular pair of black color, but in the end her hands reached out for this too. In general, I am not a big fan of brilliance and fanfare, but here, apparently, I wanted a princess's shoes. I wear them carefully, they are too self-sufficient.
Uterqüe trousers, Kuraga jacket, Pollini shoes
In trousers, she spent the whole winter and a harsh dirty off-season, surprising passers-by with her white cozy pants “against the system”. They are very soft and warm, almost like a pajama. At the same time, she found out that not to stain white pants on the streets of Moscow is quite a feasible mission. I advise. The jacket is one of my favorite things from my new autumn-winter collection, so I’ve already taken it to my wardrobe, the question now is to change the bottom.
Gucci Vintage Vest, Skirt & Other Stories, Illesteva Glasses, Valentino Shoes
COS and & Other Stories are mandatory visit points on every European journey. Skirt - from the last race in Berlin. There were a few hours left before the plane, and I took without trying everything on what my eyes dropped in the sales section, so that it would not be very offensive in the event of an error. A professional eye, apparently, is a diamond, and I accept compliments about things.
Overalls Zara, bodysuit Oysho, Kuraga choker, Zara shoes
I am a big fan of combo in various seasonal variations. This one, although it has a classic American work look, but it goes well with feminine things. I have been searching for the coolest bodysuit for a long time, it came across by chance, and the present indifference to velvet quickly led me to the checkout.
Uterqüe trousers, father's shirt, Miu Miu shoes
I do not know why it is believed that wearing white pants is a whole science. I have a special weakness for them, and I can combine them with anything and everything. Men's shirt for me as a black turtleneck - always in place.
Jeans Current / Elliott, sweater knitted by mom, Coach trench coat, New Balance sneakers, Stella McCartney backpack
Mom suddenly remembered that she once knew how to knit, and after a couple of trial and error on the scarves came this awesome sweater. It is easy to guess that I am not indifferent to green, so I called the color immediately, and then bothered my mother with questions: “Soon? Ready? And now? And now?” My mother insisted on buying this trench five years ago, she seemed frankly feminine and uncomfortable to me, and before moving to London she didn’t wear it once, but now I don’t imagine my wardrobe without this trench, for me it is like a little black dress.
Valentino and Céline bag
Earrings Chanel and no name, vintage brooches
I bought earrings right on the night before graduation, when I was completely desperate to find suitable ones. I left the shopping center, took a look at the shop window in the lobby and saw them. My best investment is a couple of thousand rubles.
Chanel Earrings, Grandma's Gift, & Other Stories
Found the perfect hoop & other stories in London. At first they were supposed to be a souvenir, but I still could not tear this pair from the heart.
Brunello Cucinelli Necklaces, Grandma's Gift, Chanel
All Saints bracelet
I began to like this bracelet even more after the metal had oxidized. This is a completely grunge look.
