Warm wool sweaters, knitbrary hats and dresses

IN THE WEEKLY RUBRIC "NEW MARK" Wonderzine presents young designers and tells where and how you can buy their things. Our heroes this week are Yolanda and Pedro, guys with a new approach to things made of wool.

For work with viscous now, a few brands are taken: more or less new designers, Mark Fast or Sibling, it is difficult to deal with giants like Pringle of Scotland. Another new name here is Knitbrary (derived from knitwear and library). The duet behind the brand, specializes in things made of wool. As designers Yolanda Estevez and Pedro Castellanos say, they are looking for unusual types of this material and make a limited collection of them. The types of wool used by the brand are vicuña, royal alpaca and pima cotton. Of these, the brand makes knit sweaters, dresses with a hood, and accessories - hats and scarves.

Knitbrary is just 1.5 years old. The brand is completely based in Spain. Her stuff appeared in local versions of Elle, Vanity Fair and Vogue magazines. Yolanda and Pedro participate in major trade shows, such as MeMy MoDe and Pitti Uomo, and receive orders from Asian and European stores like Makassar and Journal Standart. The latest collection of the duet is made of Peruvian wool, and in the future they would like to work with materials from Mongolia.

I worked for Adolfo Domínguez, it became my school of life. I learned a lot about the quality of things and work in completely different segments: clothes, accessories and shoes. Then I decided that I needed a big project to be proud of. She created the Knitbrary with Pedro Castellanos. We make woolen things for people who appreciate the pleasant tactile sensations of the material and who value history and quality. We do not like that fashion is chasing speed and everything is becoming massive, so we create clothes by hand in small editions, think over the process and do not rush.
