Trench coats for autumn: 6 unban stamps for inspiration
Trench is not only one of the pillars of a timeless wardrobe, which the international media and authors of books about style do not get tired of recalling, but also one of the most topical things for the rainy Russian autumn (and with a padding - for the warm winter). However, to find a really high-quality (and at the same time non-banal) model is not so simple. We decided to make the task a little easier and tell which brands to pay attention to - for shopping or just inspiration.

A.P.C.
French brand A.P.C. (or Atelier de Production et de Création) - the veteran of the industry. The brand was founded by Jean Tuitu in 1987, setting itself the goal of creating minimalist and comfortable clothing in defiance of trends. "Then it was not enough of these things. On the catwalk most often showed the dream, not the clothes - but someone had to let her out," - says the designer.
Tuitou still holds his promise: there are comfortable sweaters, trousers and shirts in the line of the brand that Francoise Hardy and other stars of the 1960s French scene could easily wear. Trench coats regularly appear in the collections of the brand - from classic beige (460 euros) and wine (380 euros) to a model with a belt on the drawstring like a windbreaker (470 euros).
Nehera
Nehera is a brand from Slovakia with a history of more than eighty years; in 2014, it was restarted in collaboration with designer Samuel Drire, famous for his work with The Row and Lemaire. In 2017, Dryra left the brand, but his aesthetics continues to live, and today Nehera still produces “comfortable and honest” clothes outside of age and time.
On the Nehera website you can see jackets, shirt dresses, low shoes with a fur heel and loose trench coats - for example, such a model complete with a functional waterproof cape (1650 euros) of black and mustard shades. You can buy items on the website, as well as in boutiques and concept stores around the world - a complete list can be found here.
Michael Lo Sordo
Australian with Italian roots Michael Lo Sordo dreamed of becoming a chef, but instead in 2008 he launched a clothing brand. The designer gained popularity (and sales in leading online stores like Net-A-Porter) due to the romantic dresses from silk - the material underlying all of his collections. We advise you to look at the flowing violet trench (66 thousand rubles), which can hardly be called functional, but it looks luxurious, and you can wear it like a dress. Brand production is based in Shanghai.
Pallas
Parisian brand Pallas has existed since 1960 and is known for its perfectly tailored tuxedos, created in the eponymous atelier in keeping with the tradition of French savoir-faire (craftsmanship). At the end of the last century, Pallas survived the rebranding, and in 2012, began to produce seasonal collaboration with his inspirations. For example, the mini-collections for the brand were created by the actress and model Violetta Sanchez, who in the past worked with Helmut Newton, as well as the stylist Allegria Torras.
The author of the new capsule is ex-chief editor of Self Service Magazine and creative consultant Claire Thompson-Jonville. In its lineup, you can see the basics of the "Parisian wardrobe" basis: a black tuxedo for the day and a velvet red for the evening, a minimalist beige wool coat, a leopard pea jacket, a checked suit and, of course, a classic trench coat. There is also a wool option for cooler weather - besides, he is now on sale.
Jovonna
Jovonna was born in 2007 and, as follows from the description, was inspired by "London's fashion scene and international catwalk trends." In the past, designer brand Yovonna worked in the jewelry industry, but then decided to take a course on clothes that were sold in the London markets of Portobello and Spitalfields. Soon, the designer discovered ASOS, and then Topshop, which gave her career the necessary impetus. Today, Yovonne produces clothing in the spirit of the times, including dresses with bathrobes, beaded sleeves and much more. There are also trench coats - with a checkered insert on the back (95 pounds), voluminous sleeves (100 pounds) and lacquer black (120 pounds).
Mackintosh
Mackintosh is another industry old-timer and brand named after the creator of the eponymous raincoat of the same name, Charles McIntosh. He presented his invention of rubberized fabric as much as two hundred years ago, and today, not only raincoats can be found in the brand line, but also woolen coats, down jackets and trench coats (the first prototype of which the brand created in 1945 for the British army) for every taste and the color - including blue (1125 dollars), classic beige (1215 dollars), khaki (1125 dollars) and scarlet (1275 dollars). Also on the Mackintosh account is a collaboration with Maison Margiela, 1017 ALYX 9SM and other well-known brands.
