Healthy habits analyst Artem Gerasimenko

IN RUBRIC "LIFESTYLE" we ask different people about healthy lifestyles with a human face: we talk about the importance of taking care of yourself and pleasant ways to make life more comfortable. In the new issue, analyst and amateur athlete Artem Gerasimenko, founder of the SotsioBeg initiative, tells what he eats, where he trains and how he lives to feel good.

FOR ME, GOOD WELLNESS IS A FRESH HEADwith clear thoughts, ease of movement, a positive attitude, even deep breathing and a desire to include some music. Severity or pain during movements, discomfort in the body, drowsiness and unexplained anger - this is when the opposite is true.

DAY I BEGIN FROM WATER: soul and drink (prefer bottled water). If this is a “sporty” day, you can take a shower after a running workout or in the pool. Then - mail, social networks, news.

TILL 26 YEARS DIDN'T THINK ABOUT PHYSICAL ACTIVITY - Sport was fun for me. Then I realized that if I didn’t start changing something, it would get worse. I began to run a lot, finished in dozens of competitions, ran four marathons - one of them on the ice through frozen Baikal.

FOR THIS FIVE YEARS, THAT I ACTIVELY MAKING SPORTS, I began to like myself more. I still have open questions to myself, and there are more of them than few.

ALL THIS TIME I PARALLELALLY DEVELOPED THE PROJECT "SOCIOBEG": As part of this initiative, running trainings are becoming a way of socializing orphans and finally allow them to meet their neighbors. The happy faces of the students and the interest of the architects who came to the training are more important to me than just the opportunity to run.

TRAVELING AND TRAVELING, I AGAIN do sport. Running through a new city is an opportunity to get to know it better and start navigating faster in it. And in many cities you can find chic pools: in Batumi, this, overlooking the sea, is located on the roof of a shopping center, and in Wroclaw is hidden in a historic building.

BECAUSE OF HURRY OR ANY OTHER TURBULENCE the image of the desired fish with herbs can dissolve into reality from a hot dog and a piece of cake. In this case, an internal conflict arises. One day after a banquet at a forum in Geneva, a colleague approached me and said that she didn’t believe that I was eating so much harmful: “You’re an athlete and you support a healthy lifestyle. THE MOST USEFUL ADVICE in terms of health that I have ever received, do not skate while the shoulder ligaments grow together. Mom said this, but I did not listen. In my youth I rode on different boards, spent about five years hiking in trauma centers and in operating units. I DO NOT SEE MEANING IN EXTREME LIMITATIONS. I saw people who very much pushed themselves into the frame, not allowing any concessions. This exercise is for the strong, but because of it accumulates a negative experience.

FOR PSYCHOLOGICAL HEALTH IMPORTANT ALL ENVIRONMENT and work, the sum of our internal and external emotions: from communicating with people, moving around the city, from the convenience of pavements and the cleanliness of door handles in offices. For myself and my loved ones, I try to build a life in such a way as to minimize the pressure on the psyche, I am very sensitive to this. But at the same time I love the subway!
