In the late 2000s, two seemingly incompatible facts came together at one point: the “hipster culture” boom in Russia and the final bankruptcy of Polaroid. The love for instant photobooks in the spirit of the 90s, with overexposed faces, a blurred background and reagent divorces, rested on the fact that a 10-card cartridge began to cost $ 20 on the black market. The resulting emptiness in the heart of the generation eventually took an instagram with its filters and even a special application for ShakeItPhoto smartphones convincingly imitating the development and all the cute Polaroid defects, but it was all a bit wrong.
In 2011, Fujifilm Instax cameras finally came to the Russian market - by that time, the Japanese had finally taken away the title of a monopolist for instant photography from Polaroid and effectively turned the situation in their favor. Since then, merry soap dishes in the form of Hello Kitty have appeared in their assortment, as well as winking Instax Mini 90 in leather and steel winking wigs. The new series, which is now run in the country in the "Instax 70 Tour", is simple, ergonomic and cheerful, like an icon on the desktop. They promise that white, yellow and blue cameras are best able to landscapes, macro (hello, omelette) and, of course, selfies - for which there is a special mirror on the body. As it all looks in reality, Muscovites will be shown already on November 11 - Instax cards shot by bloggers and local celebrities, from rapper L'One to photographer and motor enthusiast Alexei Kalabin, will be shown in Tsvetnoy.
