Eileen had once dreamed of teaching art, but as a teenager she got a job in a private pathological laboratory in Kansas; according to her, the work was to "carry around the city of the body." In the lab, Eileen fell in love with microscopes and a new world, which they allow to see. Now she is a microbiologist and specializes in mycology, that is, the science of mushrooms. In her thematic instagram she writes about trips and working days and, of course, lays out photographs of organisms with complex Latin names made under the microscope - others resemble fantastic abstractions.
