Co-owner of the boxing club Daria Kosareva about favorite outfits
FOR RUBBER "WARDROBE" we take pictures of beautiful, original or strangely dressed people in their favorite things and ask them to tell related stories. This week our heroine is Daria Kosareva, a journalist and co-owner of the Bobo boxing club.
I sincerely love fashion and for some time I studied it professionally: I worked as an editor in several publications. And if the theoretical fashion analysis was always quite easy for me, the relationship with my own wardrobe evolved dramatically. The classic problem: the entire apartment was overwhelmed with unnecessary purchases, but there was nothing to wear. At some point, I realized that I would simply go crazy if I did not systematize all my things and not get rid of unnecessary things. Now, in my opinion, I have a perfectly organized wardrobe, which clearly meets the three main requirements: completeness, comfort and versatility. Oh yeah, no more floral prints and lace. You open the wardrobe - and the eye rejoices: four pairs of perfect trousers, five shirts, three sweaters, a pair of dresses and blazers. What else is needed for happiness and harmony?
Saint Laurent dress and shoes
These are outstanding things in every sense. First, they were bought during my last in the status of the fashion editor of the Paris Fashion Week. Secondly, these are the first things created by Edie Slimane under the auspices of Saint Laurent, which appeared in my wardrobe. And thirdly, I bought a dress and shoes without discounts, which I usually do not allow myself. And all because I'm a big fan of the current Saint Laurent.
Dress 3.1 Phillip Lim, shoes Céline
I hate to go shopping because I instantly fall into an aggressively depressed state. Internet shopping is real salvation for me: without getting up from the couch, I buy everything from underwear to coats. Moreover, the prices of online sales and online outlet do not leave any chance to offline stores, especially Moscow. This dress for 5 thousand rubles - the most vivid illustration of my words.
Shoes - my favorite, I appreciate them for their convenience and retro-futuristic design. Every time when I put on, I remember how in my youth I shied away from sharp-nosed shoes as if from fire and categorically stated that I would never wear such ugliness. Today I can not imagine my wardrobe without a pair or two elegant boats with a narrow nose. This is how life teaches me not to renounce and be, well, or at least try to be, less categorical.
Shirt, Acne Studios pants, Céline sweater, Marni loafers
My wardrobe is dominated by French brands, but for Acne Studios there is always a place in my heart and on the coat rack in the closet. Acne is especially successful in androgynous things: trousers, shirts, blazers. It seems everything is simple, but you put on and understand that you are ready to spend the rest of your life in these clothes. The Céline sweater is an amazingly versatile yet sophisticated thing. Even if it is simply thrown over the shoulders, the degree of elegance increases markedly. Marni loafers were bought for some pennies in a Milan brand outlet five years ago, and they are not demolished.
Carven dress, Saint Laurent shoes, Alexander Wang bag
I have great respect for the designer Guillaume Henri, who for five years at Carven has managed to transform the brand’s worthy but naphthalene brand into a fashionable girlish brand. It is a pity that last year he changed jobs. Carven's dresses of his authorship are the best dresses in the world, I hunt for them in all the back streets of the Internet. As for shoes, I don’t even know if it’s worth talking about them. If I was asked what perfection is, I would have pointed a finger at them.
Chloé Jumper, Acne Studios Jeans, Saint Laurent Booties
These jeans have a perfect fit and a great color: a mathematically matched shade of white, non-uniform and not too white, allows you to wear them all year round. With a coat-jacket, they look quite harmonious, even in winter.
I love the Chloé brand very much, their more romantic dresses and blouses with frills and ruffles don't go very well to me, but here are trousers and all sorts of voluminous things, like this wool sweater, as if created specifically for me.
Céline shirt, Chloé pants, Saint Laurent ankle boots, Acne Studios jeans
This artist shirt is actually one of the most versatile items in my wardrobe. In combination with red lipstick and decorations, a rather solemn image is obtained. But it is worth throwing some more mundane thing on top, like this Acne Studios jeans, as the stage lights dim and the office lighting turns on.
About the jacket is worth mentioning separately in the context of my love for volumetric things. I do not like tight clothes, I am so very uncomfortable and embarrassing. Probably, in a sense, a taboo for me - however, it is worth remembering the story about sharp-nosed shoes. Anyway, at the moment this denim jacket from the shoulder of an imaginary elder sister is the reference embodiment of my ideas about comfort and relevance.
Saint Laurent stripped vest, Saint Laurent scarf, Chloé pants, Saint Laurent shoes, 3.1 Phillip Lim jacket
The required cost of living of any decent person. The vest is actually a man’s, bought at the time when I was puffier and things from the men's SL department looked better on me than women’s. Complement the image of a sailor Popaya flared Chloé pants and a scarf with a sign SL print in the form of sponges. Well, the 3.1 Phillip Lim jacket is just a leather jacket. As it should be in an ideal world.
Saint Laurent shirt, Saint Laurent skirt, Céline shoes
What could be more perfect maid outfit? I bought this shirt because of the white collar and cuffs, which evoke a million cinematic allusions.
Acne Studios shirt, Ashish skirt, Junya Watanabe COMME des GARÇONS jumper, Saint Laurent boots
All these things, well, except for shoes, for many years. Jumper is generally an old-timer, has been living in my closet for almost a decade. And I calmly wash the skirt in a typewriter - and not one, not one sequin has yet to fall off. The last four years, I deliberately did not buy the mass market. Totally. It sincerely seems to me that this is a money transfer, and a shopping trip in shopping centers is a time transfer. Moreover, now, in the era of overproduction, there are a lot of ways to find decent things at no less decent prices. I understand that my words will sound defiant for someone, but I will remain firm in my convictions.
Dress J.W. Anderson, Céline shoes
This dress from neoprene is very popular with girls and the boys absolutely dislike it. "Bathrobe cleaning woman", "working dress" - as it just did not call names. Well, let, the main thing that I like it. In addition, this is one of the few things a talented designer Jonathan Anderson, who sat on me.
Trench coat Carven, Marni Loafers
I love outerwear very much and I am very picky about its choice, after all, in our climate it is not a whim, but a necessary necessity. If we buy a coat or a raincoat, then one that never gets bored.
Blazer, Acne Studios pants, Saint Laurent ankle boots
I adore, adore this blazer, although I don it extremely rarely. Still, even such a convenient and skillfully tailored piece of clothing is too burdensome for me. But let it be.
Alexander Wang and Stella McCartney Bags
I am absolutely indifferent to the bags. That is, in general. And all this history with it bags and fabulous prices for them seems to me a Masonic conspiracy.
Balenciaga and YSL rings, Proenza Schouler bracelet, Omega watch
I am also not very greedy about decorations. It's hard for me. I always wear watches, they are older than me and inherited from my grandmother. There are still similar ones in the gold metal, but the years that have passed have still affected their health - they are under repair now.
Céline and Saint Laurent shoes
I can't even wear an average heel at all, so kitten heels is the best way out for me: it is comfortable, and it seems like formal, but still heels.
Céline Slip-on Sneakers, Isabel Marant Boots, Marni Boots
Everything is simple here: it is important that in the arsenal were all possible types of shoes - from slip-on shoes to loafers and suede ankle boots. It is equally important that everything fits perfectly with the clothes.
