Yanina Vekhteva wanted to become a surgeon, but began to sew clothes for dolls and decided to do clothes design. The girl entered the Moscow State Technical University named after A.N. Kosygin, but not the first time, and the evening department, and worked in parallel with her studies. "At my university there is a very strong school. Even without straining, you perfect the sense of beauty. In the process of studying, we are asked to work vectors, but everything else is the result of your choice, desire, perseverance and work," she says. For a long time Yanina sewed clothes only to order. “When you work with individual clients, you get an incredible, incomparable experience, they don’t exactly learn this at the institute. You learn to work not only with brains, but also with the sixth sense. Make sure that your clothes are not worn and treated and trembling is a tremendously difficult but fascinating task. This is a useful skill, especially when you come to mass production. You must always remember that your clothes should be worn, "says Vekhteva. One day a friend told her about the Sunday Up Market, and she decided to launch her own brand. |
“The logo and packaging was developed by my friend, designer Daria Davidenko. They worked on barter, there was always no money, they changed the design for clothes. For a long time, she worked on the brand at home. One friend, a talented designer, began to place orders for production. Then another friend fit in with us and a studio appeared. Everything was done with friends like it is now. The same story was with the lookbooks. When filming for Interview magazine, I met Danil oh Golovkin, he later agreed to shoot our collection autumn-winter 2012. The result was very cool pictures. When Evelina Khromchenko noticed us, the period of cooperation with Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia began. And although these are just presentations, not shows, all the same, the test is not easy, "- says Yanina Vekhteva. |
Yanina Vekhteva feels a love for minimalism in aesthetics: this is shown by voluminous floor-length dresses, quilted coats, and lightly baggy trousers with arrows. Among the no less remarkable things - raincoats and shorts with prints in the form of poppies. The designer does not build long-term plans, but sincerely dreams of sales throughout Europe and in America, personal perfume and the brand's headquarters in a three-story mansion. What we want her. |
