New, more and more strange beauty fetishes appear every other day; The latest hot news is ear makeup. If everything on the face has already been redrawn, you can go beyond it and check on yourself the viability of the new trend.
Who thought it up
In fact, it’s too early to talk about the trend for ear makeup: his story is not the easiest. They started talking about the fashion for coloring their ears about a month ago - however, it was mostly media, including very large ones and not necessarily about beauty. This was reported both by Marie Claire and the pop-feminist website Bustle and even the British tabloid Metro - which seemed to indicate the scale of the phenomenon. However, the powerfully declared tendency still remains in the discharge of the concept. Publications devoted to the conquest of new meykap-territory, continue to go so far, but the active reaction of the public has not followed. This time bomb was laid on the podium, and a few years ago. For the first time, models with ears covered with bronze glitter came to the podium at the Cédric Charlier F / W 2012 show: there were no other accents in the make-up, smoothed hair was removed back. The image was so expressive that many began to consider the coloring of the ears more seriously than the innocent pranks of a make-up artist. Ear makeup models by Violette Serra, a French makeup artist, showed a slightly more humanized version of ear makeup. Photos of ingeniously simple drawings on the ears of her authorship were posted on several blogs, and from there they set off on a long voyage. At least it became clear what the average person can do, even if Pat McGrath is not at hand (but we would have had it all better).
Why should we
There are many ways to use cosmetics on the face, including the most unconventional ones - so why limit it only to its borders? Especially if you live at the time when the contouring of all possible parts of the body was invented, and the ears, by the way, too. You can paint your fingers or apply color to the clavicle, you can roll in glitter from head to toe - everything will be fine. With the ears it is already more complicated: depending on the angle and the visual solution, they can be perceived “in the set” with both the face and the hair-do - so there are options too, as they say, there are.
The reasons for the difficult labor of this trend are, in general, very simple. Not everyone can effectively perform such a make-up on himself: it is not for nothing that the proverb “Can't See Your Own Ears” exists. But this is probably a good reason to connect communication skills and ask friends to draw a little on you. The selection of cosmetics can also be an expensive misery, as happened with the author of the experiment in Allure. In short: Sephora pencil is the enemy of the ears, the reaction of others is awkward, making this story a massive trend only by Rihanna. On the other hand, there is no reason to wait for Rihanna to do it.
How to do it
You can draw almost anything, the main thing is to choose resistant and non-melting agents. Pigments, liquid and cream shadows, liners will do. If you are afraid to miss the color, then use shades of gold, silver, graphical black, tested on traditional ear jewelry for such make-up. You can stretch the gradient with shadows or, conversely, take the liner and draw clear contours. To reproduce the make-up from the Anthony Vaccarello show, we need glitter, a matching pencil and thick ointment in color (Tom Pescho himself used Homeoplasmin). The ointment is collected on a pencil and applied to the earlobes, and for the effect to be the same, it is important to monitor the quality distribution of the sparkles.
Metallic shades on the ears look great with minimalist decorations that match the tone. It is better not to choose large or long earrings, if you do not want a wildish look, like in the models of Opening Ceremony. Following the example of Pat McGrath, you can add a contrasting accent to the face, for example, draw small graphical arrows or put dots on the lower eyelid. Otherwise, the ultimate naturalness will be the best solution.
Makeup artists say that these makeups are made for owners of colored hair. However, if your hair is longer than a few centimeters, it is better to pick them up or lay, like the models Cédric Charlier. In general, expose the ears and get used to the fact that from a part of the body they temporarily turn into an accessory.
