Me and my friend motorcycle: Girls about motor sport and their bikes

Common attitude to girls on motorcycles well illustrate the comments in the spirit of "Liter mot for the girl, where this world is heading!". The world, we answer, is heading in the right direction and is gradually getting rid of stereotypes about "female" and "non-female" occupations. There are more and more girls on the most different bikes, but there are less and less of such photos on demand "woman and motorcycle". We talked with several heroines who, at different times and for different reasons, boarded the bike, about adventures and danger, respect on the roads and responsibility.

I liked motorbikes from childhood, and as soon as the combo “money, opportunity, time” came together, I went to a motorcycle school. Although parents were strongly opposed, and indeed the topic of extreme hobbies at home was almost taboo. The training was surprisingly easy, and I passed the law on the first try. And then my older brother unexpectedly called me into a mad motocross across India, and without thinking I agreed.

We traveled 12 thousand kilometers, traveled all over the continent, and for the first time I felt the same freedom that travelers and freelancers glorified. Sunrises on rocky shores, sunsets, in which we dive headlong, accidents that were miraculously avoided, night serpentines drenched in rain, and the sun dissolving in the mist, painting scarlet carved leaves. At that moment, I probably realized that I had disappeared and would not be able to abandon motorcycles in my life.

The next motorcycle trip - in Thailand and off-road Cambodia - turned out to be much tougher. One of our friends almost immediately had an accident and broke the collarbone, and even we ourselves several times survived by a miracle. But the sensations are, of course, indescribable: for a few hours you make your way through the jungle on a hot motorcycle, hardly keeping it from falling on crumbling soil or sand, and at that moment, when there is almost no strength, it sweeps up a huge ancient temple with twined vines by walls.

I bought my motorcycle by accident - a friend asked me to sell his old bike, something clicked in my head, and I took it for myself. We are old

My acquaintances — I made my first cautious forays into the streets of Moscow on it. In general, Honda Hornet is a cult bike, phenomenally reliable, powerful, very light and maneuverable. As soon as I sat down on him, I immediately realized that this was my motorcycle: I understand him perfectly, I hear, I feel, I am not afraid to bend in the turns and unscrew the throttle, because I know him and my limits. In general, a motorcycle is a big responsibility, and it seems to me that from the moment of purchase I became much more attentive and more mature.

You begin to fully assess the risks only after the first fall: rose-colored glasses fly sharply

I go every day - to work, on business, I love to drive through the city at night, when there are almost no cars. I recognize and understand the risk to which I put myself behind the wheel — this is my conscious choice. In general, you begin to fully appreciate the risks only after the first fall: rose-colored glasses fly sharply and you cease to consider yourself to be invulnerable racer on the wings of the night. I fell several times, and if it were not for the defended protection, I could not have gone soon. High-quality equipment is very important, but it is difficult to pick it up, especially for a girl. For example, only two manufacturers have certified female "turtles", invariably black-pink Alpinestars and Dainese, which stands as a third of the motorcycle. In Russia, there are very few female models in stores, and without fitting, you cannot buy equipment.

There is a very high level of loyalty to each other in the motorcycle. You will always be helped, they will come up, they will ask whether everything is in order, regardless of whether you are a guy or a girl. In fact, on the road you never find yourself alone, mutual assistance and support at the height. But I noticed excessive attention from the side of motorists - very often at traffic lights approach closer and ask a classic set of questions "Isn't it scary? Isn't it difficult?" and so on. There were also instances of “why do you need a motorcycle, you are a girl?”, But I’m not led to such provocations.

When I was three years old, one kind policeman brought me and my mother to a motorcycle rest stroller, and I, a small, plump girl, said that when I grow up, I will have a motorcycle cooler and faster. Later we watched the MotoGP race with the whole family, and I watched, fascinated, as Kevin Schwanz painted the turns with the knee. The cinema images of the girls-heroes, who bravely dissected them on motorcycles, also played their part. I took the clear decision myself in the fall of 2006, when I got into an accident as a passenger on a motorcycle. I decided that I would take responsibility for myself.

The study began immediately with the purchase of a motorcycle, and this was definitely for love, because there is no other explanation for this choice. It was a small, uncomfortable, mean-spirited four-hundred-cubed Japanese sport bike Yamaha FZR 400 RR. I fell on him a lot, but they learn from mistakes, so I just got up, they helped me to lift the bike, and I continued to train further. The current bike is its complete opposite: one can drive a thousand kilometers a day on it, it has a comfortable fit, good wind protection and controllability. The same goes for the bike of my dreams - the BMW R 1200 GS. He is not afraid of the lack of roads, he is equally confidently walking along a gravel embankment and along city streets, and it is safe to set off on a world tour. Yes, it is very scary, but its practicality compensates for this.

I was very lucky with my mother. From the very beginning, she approved of my choice and presented me with the first set of motor-equipment. And in general, she likes the moto, sometimes friends on large tourist motorcycles or choppers take her as a passenger for pokatushki. The man, fortunately, is also a motorcyclist: with non-motorcyclists

I did not get along, because sooner or later they all tried to take me off the bike. It even reached ultimatums: either me or a motorcycle. Of course, there was no choice: at first the motorcycle was a hobby, and now it occupies a large part of my life (you see, through my word “motorcycle”). I travel a lot on a motorcycle, I started selling motorcycles, ATVs, snowmobiles and jet skis, and a year ago I received a diploma in motorcycle riding instructor. I don’t know if something will ever be able to replace him, except that piloting an airplane is not a fact.

Motorcycle will not give you toughness and attractiveness: on the road no one owes you anything

Before I got on a motorcycle, I graduated from a music school and a music college - and threw the violin for ten years. But then I started to play again: my very first performances were at moto festivals. In both classes, constant practice is important, and besides, I like to listen to rock when I ride a motorcycle, and play rock on a violin. Some people think that these two classes are incompatible, but if I managed to break the pattern, it’s cool, maybe such examples will show people that you can’t think narrowly.

For ten seasons, I have noticed a different attitude towards girls on motorcycles — both good and bad, including stereotypes “women drive worse” or “look like men.” At the beginning of my moto path I had to prove a lot: then the attitude towards girls on motorcycles was more biased and the offensive "your backseat" was heard. But I am stubborn and learned to quickly maneuver, accelerate, keep the speed on a par with male friends, and even practiced motocross for a couple of years - and this is a completely different level of motorcycle ownership. And at the price of knocked out radial joints and cracked ribs, I was able to win respect. Of course, this is now remembered with a smile.

Many overly romantic newbies want to say that the motorcycle will not give you toughness and attractiveness; Nobody owes you anything on the road, moments of mutual respect with other drivers are important. And this, by the way, is beginning to emerge in Russia. In general, I want people to learn to drive better: for example, many begin to accelerate without learning how to brake properly. In general, “motorcyclism” does not have sex and age - the main thing is that people get pleasure from it.

My moto life began at fifteen from a ride on a moped in the yard with friends, and then I saw on TV a girl on a sportbike, and I was just hypnotized. I remember how I approached my father and said: "I want to ride a motorcycle." Of course, it didn’t cause any joy, but I was set on fire with the idea of learning how to ride and buy my motorcycle. And then almost my whole story is some miraculous combination of circumstances. I quickly and very accidentally made friends, motorcyclists, I got into a huge family, where everyone is united by one interest. The moto girls then were many times smaller than they are now, and I looked at them and dreamed.

In 2009, my friends put me on an old CB400. There was a lot of fear, but the desire was much greater. I remember these emotions as it is now: the first move, turns, braking, I was delighted to have resorted home after training and told about my successes. Of course, there were also difficulties, mainly psychological, when the instinct of self-preservation had to be overcome. By the end of the season I had the opportunity to sit on a real sport bike - Honda CBR600RR. He has a kind of landing, working with gas and a lot of nuances to which one had to get used to, but I fell in love with this bike. For me, all this has become a way of life: training, walking, pokatushki. I began to look for a job related to motorcycles, and found. I was called to the motorcycle school as an administrator, and motorcycles took 90% of my life.

I managed to try motorcycles of various classes and cubic capacity - both on the court and with friends, but my heart still belonged to 600RR. So at the end of the year before last I became the happy owner of the red handsome Honda CBR600RR 2008. I told my relatives only after the purchase and was pleasantly surprised that no one doubted my skills for a second. But at work I was immediately sentenced to winter training by motocross and mini-moto, in order to get the most out of the season. I was like six motocross - it is fascinating and interesting, training is physically difficult, but definitely necessary.

At first, every trip to the road was a huge stress for me.

Mini bikes are small sport bikes that look like a large copy. They behave like big ones, and managing them is more difficult, starting with a kind of landing in the form of a frog, for which it is necessary to stretch before each session, and ending with gas, landing, reaction, studying the trajectories and a lot of everything that can be transferred to a large motorcycle . I practiced two winters in a row, and progress did not keep me waiting: I accelerated, the first touch of the knee appeared, improved the concept of the correct trajectory, the ride among a large number of riders with completely different levels of training and finally decided that the sport bike and everything connected with it - it's mine.

Now, with a laugh, I remember my first exit to the city: I am on a motorcycle, and my friend is driving a car: I was driving no more than 50 km / h and on the first street we went off in different directions. I was in a panic, shrank from each car overtaking, and the first thing I said while parking: "I want to go to the garage!" At first, every trip to the road was a huge stress for me, but as you know, "if you really want to, you can fly into space."

Danger and injury are an unavoidable part of motor sport. There are no results without falls, we learn from mistakes. In a mini moto class, I couldn’t say how many times, but only after these falls did progress occur. In addition, I belong to the girls, acting only for full equip. Even if it is very hot. Equipment is our safety. The girl in the t-shirt and shorts on a motorcycle, of course, looks beautiful, but no more than for a photo shoot.

I love to drive a car, but never in my life I went to number two on a bike: there was always a feeling that I would soon go by myself. My brother is a motorcyclist, but he studied himself, watched educational films and videos, read books, then practiced "in the fields." Now great rolls around the city. I went to the motorcycle school. Honestly, it was scary to go to the first lesson, they wondered: the motorcycle was dangerous. Then I set myself a condition: if I do not like it at the first lesson, I will not continue. But it was not there. Almost immediately, that childish feeling of delight appeared, when the first successes occur in the new passion, the awareness of movements comes.

It turned out to be difficult to decide on the first motorcycle: I was thrown from one extreme to another: I wanted a supersport, now a smaller car, then a new one, then a used one, now a neykid, then all in plastic. My torment of choice interrupted the raid in the salons, where I saw him - a powerful classic motorcycle. The inner voice quietly prompted him to stop at him, but I continued the search: I tormented the consultants, I sat on different bikes, but every time something seemed wrong. So I returned to the Honda CB1100A. This is a fairly powerful motorcycle in the neoclassical style with moderately modern technologies. I like everything in it, although it is a heavy bike and they need to be able to properly manage at low speeds.

There are some immutable rules for the selection of a motorcycle, but they easily apply to both sexes. Parameters such as the height of the saddle, ease of landing and control levers, the ability to independently lift a fallen motorcycle, all motorcyclists are guided, regardless of gender. But with the outfit all the more difficult: women's assortment in Moscow is poorer than the men's, but neglecting equipment

Not worth it in any case - not only drivers, but also the "second number". It happens that a motorcyclist rides from head to toe in equipment, and behind him sits a beautiful creature in casual clothes and, possibly, even without a helmet. This is a clear manifestation of courage and dementia of both.

Even in a driving school, the instructor said that the road is a place of heightened danger. So there is no big difference - on the car you are riding or on a motorcycle. Driving on any vehicle, we consciously take this risk and bear responsibility for our own actions. Moreover, the gender sign does not matter, dementia on the roads shine fully to both men and women.

Dementia on the roads shine fully to both men and women

Fortunately, the motorcycle society for the better is different from the automotive. The attention of the motorcyclist is focused on the movement, he needs to anticipate the actions of the surrounding cars, so that the motorcyclist notices many times more than the average motorist. A good example of a friendly motor community is the habit of greeting all motorcyclists passing by. If you stand on the side of the road to just warm up, one of the bikers will surely slow down and ask if everything is alright. In my opinion, this is the manifestation of humanity.

Many in my surroundings listened with horror to my emotional stories about motorcycles and often spoke negatively about this hobby. Yes, the bike is somewhat out of the general spectrum of my interests: I do antigravity yoga, fitness, I study graphics, oil and watercolor painting, I take the first steps in calligraphy, I devoted ten years to amateur ballet. But all this helped me in mastering the motorcycle: both yoga and fitness train the body and mind, and improved coordination and good power indicators provide a very useful help in learning to ride a bike. A couple of times I heard a phrase in my address: "You're a girl!" - but this gender separation, in my opinion, is already a thing of the past. Everyone for himself defines the boundaries of their activities.

I always liked motorbikes, but since I am a mom, I have a daughter for whom I am responsible, I didn’t dare to get on a motorcycle for a long time. Still, motorcycles - it is always a risk, not just as they were called "vehicle of increased danger." But one day, when my daughter was with her grandmother in the village, and I was standing in traffic, a motorcycle flew past me, and something clicked in me: "I want the same." Without delay, I got on the Internet and found the nearest motorcycle school. I did not think that it would become a serious hobby, it was just a rush that I did not struggle with. I went to the motorcycle school almost every day, so I learned very quickly, began to actively communicate with the coaches and, one might say, became part of the get-together.

After some time I was offered to train. Up to this point, my life was associated with teaching, and this, of course, helped. A lot of people passed through my hands, some began to specifically ask for my groups. It supported and forced to move forward. I have been doing this for four years now, but even my very first graduates remember me, write and thank me - this is probably the most valuable thing for a teacher. My relatives treat my lifestyle calmly. My daughter slowly begins to share with me a passion for motorcycles. While she, however, goes only to the children - but still ahead.

After all, nature, a motorcycle and true friends are combined here.

When you climb steep mountains, descend steep ledges, or make your way along a dried-up river bed, you overcome yourself, struggle with your fears. And after that, when everything is behind, you understand that in enduro, as in life, most often we are afraid of completely vain things, and this does not allow us to be truly happy. The main thing is to overcome your fear, only this gives you the opportunity to live for real.

The main thing is to overcome your fear, only this gives you the opportunity to live in earnest.

Unfortunately, recently the cohesion of the participants of the motor community has weakened. All the less you can find greetings on the roads from motorcycle brothers, not everyone is in a hurry to help either This is especially noticeable in Moscow. Girls on motorcycles can cause admiration, but besides this sometimes there is a lack of support and help. From here was born the idea to develop exactly the female motor community. Many of my friends and schoolgirls, who cannot imagine their life without a headwind, caught fire with this idea. This is not only joint trips and travels - this is roadside assistance and reliable maintenance of motorcycles. For us, a motorcycle is not just a means of transportation - it is a special philosophy and lifestyle for those who have speed in their blood. We are many, we understand and support each other.
