In the US, opened a fake store expensive shoes

EVERY DAY ON THE INTERNET HAPPEN THINGS, from which I want to either laugh or cry. Inevitably the question is brewing: what are you doing?

The American retailer Payless created a fake designer shoe store, in which he put up for sale ordinary models from his catalog with a price tag ten times higher than the original cost. The biggest purchase cost six hundred and forty dollars, and the margin on it was 1800%.

In honor of the opening of a new boutique, Payless organized a party at which the fictional brand Palessi was introduced - just under the guise of fake-brand products, and the usual retailer's range was sold. So in one evening the store managed to sell products for a total amount exceeding three thousand dollars - later Payless explained that the incident was an advertising move and promised to compensate the price difference for customers.

Creative director of the company Doug Cameron stated that with the help of such a move they tried to show Payless’s “relevance” in the mass market. Opinions regarding the action were divided: while some considered it to be the “best prankom of the year”, others naturally considered the incident to be unethical, and buyers - victims of an advertising campaign.
