Designer Camilla Kunz was born in Switzerland, in the small town of Lausanne. In 2012 she graduated from the bachelor's course in Geneva Haute école d'art et de design (HEAD) and a year later became one of the 10 participants of the 28th fashion and photo festival in Hyères - a competition that has existed since 1985. The main prize of the festival was won by Satu Maaranen, and Camilla Kunz won the Chloé award of 15 thousand euros. “I got into the competition with another Swede. It was Ksenia Lafeli, with whom we studied together in HEAD,” says the designer. “The festival in Yerah is a big happy family. I especially remember our joint dinners and the fact that we had a lot of time spent together, laughed. I really miss the guys and am glad that I managed to learn a lot from other designers. "

Twenty-three-year-old Camilla Kunz creates men's clothing, and she brought her third collection to the festival in Yera. "This is a story about my three brothers and about me - a girl who would like to be a boy," the designer describes the collection. According to Camilla, she took the images of marble tiles in her family house as the basis for the prints in her latest collection, and the idea with silicone inserts came to her when she saw garden gloves.

Perhaps the free form, practicality and minimalism in the collections of Camilla Kunz due to the fact that she worked for the Swedish brand of mountain-skiing clothes Mover. “It was a good experience: I liked working with functional and high-tech fabrics,” says the designer, “but the most memorable internship was at Bernhard Willhelm. Family atmosphere and cute, but crazy people — I can describe that time.”

"I am extremely happy that I won the Chloé prize! This is certainly a strong push. So far, I think not to rush to create your own brand. I want to work under the authority of already well-known designers like Raf Simons, Dries van Nothen or Albert Elbaz. I want learn a lot and learn a lot. The next internship is scheduled for September, ”said Camilla about her plans for the future.
