Healthy habits of journalist Roman Super

IN THE RUBRIC "LIFESTYLE" we ask different people about healthy lifestyles with a human face: talking about the importance of taking care of yourself and pleasant ways to make life more comfortable. The hero of the new release is Roman Super, a correspondent for RBC and the author of the book One Blood, based on the story of the struggle of his wife Yulia against cancer. Roman told us what he and his family are doing to feel good.

GOOD FEELING - It is closer to eleven in the evening to look into the app "Health" and find that in a day I walked 20 thousand steps. And then, with a contented smile and a melancholy rumbling in the stomach, go to bed, finding the strength to not overeat sweet and greasy.

MY DAY BEGINS LATE - at ten in the morning. Because winter. Because it's dark all the time. Because before, I never went to work by early morning and just got used to get up late. Moreover, I managed to teach my little son to the same criminal way of life. When he goes to school, the situation will have to change, but for now you can still sleep a little.

I LOVE TO GO ON FOOT AND DO IT WITH ANY POSSIBILITY, regardless of the distance. One day my friend and I decided to walk to the nearest metro station. Reached and realized that we did not want to go with a transfer. We reached another station to go in a straight line, but were too lazy to go down into the ground and decided to walk a little more. As a result, we walked from Okhotny Ryad to Novogireev. I advise everyone to do so.

The most unsuitable type of physical activity for me it was a trip to the gym. It was there only once - it’s scary to even remember. Let me just say that I immediately hurt both hands, and then suffered a week - and I was surprised at these men, who admire their muscles in front of the mirror.

Blame yourself for dinner after six and situational smoking - otherwise I'm almost holy.

IN TRAVELING, I MOST EVERYTHING GO where to look after yourself is not particularly necessary. As a rule, the air, food, water and atmosphere there are more favorable than at home in Moscow.

ATTITUDE WITH OWN BODY I have very simple, I can describe them in two words: not satisfied. But with age there are no problems - not even grown up to the age of Christ, kid.

IN STRESS PERIODS OF LIFE FAMILY HELPS ME VERY MUCH. Usually one call to my wife is enough for me to understand: everything is not so terrible, tomorrow I probably will not remember this nonsense.

I TRUST GOOD RUSSIAN DOCTORS, bad - no. Good Russian doctors saved the life of my wife. Bad Russian doctors did not pay attention to her, although her cancer then was already two years old. An important and very useful art is to distinguish one from the other in time. But the good is less than the bad - always, everywhere and in everything.

I REGULARLY FACE WITH IPOCHONDRIA. After cancer, suffered by his wife, to any cold, we have increased attention. Now I see nothing wrong with that: the more hypochondriacs, the more living people. My idol is the giraffe-hypochondriac Melman from the cartoon "Madagascar" with a thermometer always sticking out of his mouth.

PROPHYLACTIC CHECK - This is a necessary, correct and fashionable thing. My whole family promotes it as much as they can. But everything that is called unconventional medicine and homeopathy, I consider harmful nonsense.

DO NOT DO THAT YOU CAN STRONGLY HARM YOU. This also applies to generally useful activities like sports.
